Smallville (spoilers)

I saw this weeks episode and honestly it wasn't thaat bad. I still have no idea how Clark got a cold and it was just like the season 1 episodes where he would conveniently get a superpower that is essential to saving the day. Aside from that, there were some good points.
1. Lex getting kidnapped
2. Lana and Lex break up finally
3. Lois becomes a reporter
4. GREEN ARROW:lol:
Next weeks episode looks amazing and Green Arrow's costume looks actually pretty cool.

"Sneeze" was a decent episode. Nothing that bad, nothing extrodinary. Nice to have a cool new power. Oliver Queen is a metrosexual?

Well I'm with Planet-man. Particularly with Clark and Lois....bout time.

:?

Uhh, my point was that Lois was less obnoxious and more human than they usually portray her, not that I think she should ever be with Clark.

Honestly, I would love if they killed Lois off on the show and have Clark ultimately end up with Chloe. I've felt that was since Season 4. There's just so much chemistry between them whereas there's no appeal at all to Lois Lane on this show. I really can't stand her.

Actually that was just my thing. I agree with you regardless of that moment they had.

I started out hating this episode. I hate this Jimmy. I hate that he's with Chloe. I hated the whole first scene.

But surprisingly, in the end I loved tonight's show. There was a lot of dumb stuff, but there was so much awesomeness it overrided it.

Dark Thursday having a lasting impact? Hooray!

Lana actually owning up to her friggin trust issues and taking responsibility for her rash, immature actions? Hooray!

Clark and Lex in the greenhouse was, in my opinion, possibly the best back-and-forth we've ever had between the two on the show. It was an absolutely classic moment. Rosenbaum was the epitome of a perfect live-action Lex in that scene. Subtle, intimidating, intense, and most of all....real. Spacey cannot TOUCH the Baum.

And what's more, this episode had two other absolutely fantastic Lex moments; the scene where he tell Lana that that was how he found out his mom died, and the shot of him walking out of the crowd wearing the legionarre uniform. That was incredible. The Anthony and Cleopatra bit was the icing on the cake.

Even Oliver Queen, who I thought sucked last week, is really starting to grow on me here.

So all-in-all, this was one of those mixed episodes that had a lot more good than bad and some classic moments that outshine the bad stuff. What I'm saying is, this is an episode I'll remember as being specifically good, and that's what matters in the long run.

4 out of 5. I really hope the season can maintain a level of quality somewhere near this area.

The show was ok. I am really starting to be completely and utterly bored by this show nowadays.

The only 3 good parts were the greenhouse scene, Queen showing up in costume and Queen's arrow/can scene.

I'll continue to follow this season....but I think this might be it for me. The show is reaching "stupid" status real quick.

I liked "Arrow" a lot.

They're obviously going for a Bruce Wayne vibe with Queen, but that's okay with me because we get the coolness of the character without the ruined continuity that would ensue if they actually used Bruce Wayne.

Anyway we got some great action and a worthy introduction to the Green Arrow character.

I liked last week's episode, but this was definitely a big step up. The fact that I can't really find too much to criticize here earns it a 4.5 out of 5.

4 episodes in and I'm still really enjoying the season. Good sign. I really hope it keeps it up.

Last night's episode was pretty cool just for the geek-out factor alone.

Green Arrow in classic costume last week? Sweet. Green Arrow in costume again? Awesome! Green Arrow actually in action? EVER SO SUH-WEET!

But then along came Clark and his "holier tha thou" attitude (I get that it's all part of Superman's character but in the show he's like 20 and all it does is make him a dick). That right there killed it for me.

But then Lois was in trouble and it was great that Queen saved her instead of another Clark to the Mysterious Rescue.

This previous Thursdays episode was great. They updated Green Arrow really well and he worked in Smallville. I especially liked how his bow could be folded and manipulated, as well as the fact he had a wrist crossbow.

Ever since his moment with Louis on last weeks episode where he hit the top off of the can Oliver Queen has become my favorite character ever on Smallville. Now that the show is becoming more of a superhero show, it's getting better in quality and style. One of the greatest geek moments I've ever had was Green Arrow's talk with Clark at the end. Throughout that whole conversation you were wating for him to say how he's putting together a team. Great stuff. Justice League #2 and Smallville all in the same day.

How many more of the JLA is Lois going to end up with? I'm half-anticipating, half-horrified at the prospects of any female JLAers appearing on Smallville...

Lois/Hawkgirl anyone? o_O

I just find it hilarious to imagine what it's going to be like in 10 years when Superman comes into the Watchtower and tells his friends that he and Lois are engaged.

Aquaman: "Lois....wait, do you mean Lois Lane? Yeah I remember her. Good kisser. She did this thing with her tongue where she'd--"

Superman: "WHAT? How do you--"

Green Arrow: "You're tellin' me, Arthur! If you thought she was a good kisser, you should have seen her in bed! Best night of my life!"

Superman: "Awwww, guys seriously, shut the **** up!"

The Flash: "She was that Chloe chick's cousin, right? If goods like that run in the family, I can see what you mean. Why'd you break up with her, Ollie?"

Green Arrow: "Ehhh, you know. After all the sex she turned into a total *****. I'd gotten what I wanted from her anyway."

For the second week in a row I get to say "this was a great episode".:D

Honestly....I think the show just might have proved it's back on track.

I forgot until about halfway through watching that this was the annual "Halloween-themed" episode, and when I realized that it made me really happy.

Why? Look at the track record: Last years's was "Thirst", my least-favourite episode ever. The year before that was "Spell", no comment necessary.

This year, however, we get a cool episode with a solid plot, good continuity tie-ins, more Green Arrow(not costumed, but just as well)and everyone fully in-character.

It's also nice to have more background on Lex, and exploring his troubled childhood on the show has always yielded great results.

By the way, notice Duncan's room number was 237(a la The Shining)? That's a nice touch.

4.5 out of 5. On par with "Arrow".

That's it! The last straw. No more!

Smallville officially sucks. I'm serious. Smallville is now on par with Ultimate Spiderman. They start with a generally good concept....and **** it up during the process of execution. And like how USM shines when we get back to the Peter/MJ dynamic.......the only time Smallville shines is when we get Lex.

But now...having Bow Wow as a guest star as a villain? Ugh. I'm sick of this show. If I decide to follow the story it'll be from internet reviews or maybe on DVD rentals.
