Booo.....playing a Capote and a villain in a Tom Cruise movie does not a legend make.

There is no replacing the real Hoff.

i know this is a bit late...and i seem to be in the majority...but i really enjoyed both the season finale and the season as a whole...sure there were some low points in the season...and sure lana pisses me off...and sure the way the clark/lex friendship went down (becuase superman is a dick)...but over all, there was some great buildup here for the next season as well as some good development of clark becoming more of a hero and lex becoming more of a bad dude...i'm stoked

The Jimmy Olsen in the movie was better.

I don't have cable!! And no one can update me on what happened last night!?! :x

Okay, It starts with Clark in the glass Phantom Zone and falls through a potal (I loved how they did this) to a waste land with a depressing filiter. There he is save from these Phantoms by a chick with a little metal superman "S". She says she was Jor El's assistance and tells him he can leave, she takes him to the door and they are jumped by those two Zod diciples. The chick says she was leading him to them and tells them about the gateway.

Mean while Chloe and Lionel get away from the mop in his building, Lionel goes to Smallvile to find the dagger and Chloe goes to the Planet to try and find a way to stop the virus where she runs into an old friend, Jimmy Olsen. Martha's plane crashed in the north pole right by the Fortresses, Lois is injured and unconscience, in the fortresses Jor El tells Marthe what happened and that she must kid Zod, she agrees and is sent back to Smallville. While Lana is force to follow Zex he's going to turn Earth into Krypton (where have I heard that before) and that she is to provide him with an heir, she tris to attack him with this fire poker, he grabs it and stabs it through her hand into the wall, BADASS!!! and leaves to get some stuff

In the Zone they are taken to the gateway we're they cut Clark's hand then the assitant cuts the one guys throat and tell Clark to run as a bunch of other immates are showing up Clark activates the portal seeing the assistance being kill by the one chick and he's back, Martha and Lionel told him they gave the dagger to Lana (who freed herself) cause is the only one to get close to him, she tries and fails than Zex breaks it inhalf. Then Clark shows up and they fight, Zex flies them into a fleid and they fight some more, Zex is winning and tell Clark if he kneel before him he'll spare the ones he loves Clark does so and shakes his hand, with the metal "S" which zapps Zod out of Lex. The roits are over Lana doesnt trust Lex, Chloe didnt go further with her relationship with Clark (to his dismay) And Clark meet Olsen (Welling was horrible in that scene basically showed nothing and just stared). Clark tells Martha that fortress ie "dead". We see Lionel who had said his connection to Jor El is gone but he starts drawing Kryptonian symbols and makes a ward and under it writes "Power". And it ends showing one of the Phantoms flying towads the camera (several escaped)

It was a decent premiere. I would have liked to see one good fight between Clark and Zod. You know really show off the special effects.

Yeah it it looked as if the budget was cut, the fight just didnt look that great. I dont know something about the episode just didnt seem right, it was that great. I'm not that big of a fan of the series though.

Anyone wondering how Green Arrow and the Justice League arcs are going to do? I bet that Ollie's going to try and recruit Clark for his super team and bring along a few other pepole. My guesses are Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg and a couple other new DC characters like Black Canary and Martian Manhunter.

This site http://www.kryptonsite.com/ has some future spoilers, god just reading lines of the crap they come up with it sounds retarded like this
Jimmy has some poisonous seeds implanted inside of him

And for the Green Arrow episode
Its centered around a costume party with Oliver Queen going as Robin Hood

And it seems Oliver will be around for a few episodes

The premiere was decent.

I'm really not a fan of the special effects they use when they fight. First off---the show needs new action choreographers. I understand that Clark doesn't know any martial arts and is just fighting on pure instinct---but the fights look to raw. They need to tighten 'em up a bit.

Second---I hate the "ripple effect" they do to show us that they're moving superfast. The Matrix look is really starting to wear thin.

But other than that---it was a pretty decent episode and I'm looking forward to this season. Maybe it was just me but last season seemed to go by REALLY fast.

I actually thought this was one of the best season premires of the series.

Zod was done great(Rosenbaum did a FANTASTIC job, I forgot he was Lex). He really couldn't have been handled better here IMHO.

The homages, unlike in Superman Returns, were actually cool and appropriate every time, especially the defeat of Zod, which had me grinning from ear to ear.

The scene with Clark and Lois at the end was actually one of the few times since the beginning of Season 4 that I haven't wanted to slap her.

But now we come to the bad: Jimmy Olsen. He's being handled so awfully on so many levels I almost can't believe it.

First, he's the same age/older than Clark.

Second of all, he's blown away the possibility of the Chlark(Chloe-Clark relationship), which I've wanted to see happen for years.

Then, he looks identical to a character they've all met several times before yet no one says anything about that.

And to top it all off he's just not that great an actor.

Still, this was a great episode and the first time in a long time where I've actually gotten an "accepting his destiny" vibe.

4.5 out of 5 from me.

I almost disagree with all of it. But since you're a Chloe fan to begin with, I guess it shouldn't surprise me.
