Captain America Movie

CBR:

Meanwhile, Pajiba reports Joss Whedon may be taking a pass at the script in addition to his duties on "The Avengers." While the film begins shooting soon, Whedon can definitely spruce up dialogue and perhaps reshape a few set-peices, but don't expect it to be a huge rewrite if it happens.

I hope Whedon doesn't get too involved in the script. While we all love Whedon, I don't wanna see an Avengers film with Buffy Speak.

The Howling Commandos are in.

But will Nick Fury be with them?

I hope not, the whole infinity formula has always sounded lame. It would be cool to have Fury's father/grandfather there

Love the Howling Commandos inclusion. I definitely would love to see a Fury/Howling Commando cameo....but I don't want it to be Jackson's Fury. I totally agree with making it the current Fury's grandfather or something.

Wasn't it mentioned that Fury was going to appear in Captain America?

But as the movie is supposed to take place entirely during WW2 that means it's either an end sequence or a post-credits thing... or he's in WW2 as the leader of the Howling Commandos. :(

I'm thinking Fury will show up at the end of the film after they pull Cap outta the ice.

He can write other dialog. Firefly didn't have Buffy speak. I for one would welcome him on board, as he knows how to do the whole team dynamic damn near perfectly.

Yeah, not bad, but kind of safe and boring. Whatever. It'll probably be fine.

If by safe and boring you mean perfect, then yep!

EDIT:

I wonder if this has any bearing on the Hobbit?

Part 1 is supposed to be coming out Christmas 2012, and Captain America is coming out five months before that. Although, if Hobbit Part 1 does actually come out then and if Elrond is in it and if Hugo Weaving is playing Elrond (I hope he is) it would be a rather small part, so maybe it won't interfere?

Doubtful, really actors are only on for a few months of the production and his role in Hobbit is pretty small. Also Cap is scheduled for 2011 according to IMDB

I was kinda hoping for an actual german actor(to avoid hollywoods fake accents), but this will do.

I can't wait to see Red Skull's makeup.

I trust that they're going for the Ultimate version of Cap's costume.
