Re: Amazing Spider-Man series discussion (spoilers)

Aside from Peter throwing the truck, the whole "I'm Spider-Man and now I'm a badass and I can kill people watch wait just kidding but I'm still gonna kill someone" has been pretty boring. It's also been pretty inconsistant aside from a few moments in FNSM (the way Arrow was killed was both dark and hilarious). It's been pretty lame and I've been begging for it to finish... until #542.

I usually hate issues of any series that are devoted just to one fight, but this was enjoyable. Spider-Man's not badass. Peter is. That's brilliant! Cliché? Yeah. But it's in-character and with the identity thing, it feels neccesary. If it weren't for pages 7-19 (no ads), this would have been boring.

Also, I thought he was naked at first.

Also also, Kingpin's somehow going to be responsible for May's recovery. I so call that idea.

Same here, the shadows could have been drawn better.

I've been liking the whole "Spider-man Unleashed" thing, I actually want him to cross that line and kill the Kingpin. But I was pissed cause I knew they wouldn't go through with it. But they did it in a very cool way. The whole "she dies, you die" is great. I'm really liking this title

Take a look at Spidey's new art for issue #549. No word on who the artist is.

Re: Amazing Spider-Man series discussion (spoilers)

It's good, but I still am having trouble with the direction Peter's going in. Aunt May could die, but still, Peter, a killer?

At least the writing and artwork is good.

3.5/5, but it would've been a 4/5 if I had bought into the whole killing thing more.

Wow, that's some really cool artwork for "Brand New Day".

People are saying it's Bianchi, right?

Yeah a lot of people do think that. Still Marvel's not say who it is yet. It could be Bianchi's work...

Who's hand could that be holding the glass?

Re: Amazing Spider-Man series discussion (spoilers)

I actually think that's a really nice picture, one of the best I've seen from Joe Q, if not THE best (I'm not usually a fan of his stuff).

What is amusingly worrying though is how many people over at Newsarama are reacting literally to the pic and theorising about when the photo was taken, whether it's a mirror or a picture frame and whatever. It's symbolic you dopey bastards!!

Re: Amazing Spider-Man series discussion (spoilers)

Maybe it's Quesada's hand. He's brealing up Peter and MJ (breaking a pic of them) and taking away their happiness (removing their smiling faces)!

Or not.

Oh, that would work really well! I like that theory. Having future Spidey be referenced again would be a good way for JMS's run to end.

Re: Amazing Spider-Man series discussion (spoilers)

I wish Romita Jr was coming back for this instead of Quesada.
