Re: Ultimates 3 #2 discussion [spoilers]

Blind optimism is a *****.

I just read this.

Ouch.

There are no other words to describe what this book has done to me and fans across the globe.

Yeah, this book sucks so much ***, that the last 10 posts have had jack-**** to do with it.

Re: Ultimates 3 #1 spoiler/discussion

So, when do we get the variant written by Ellis?

Re: Ultimates 3 #1 spoiler/discussion

You are unfortunately, also going to get acne and uncontrollable spontaneous erections AGAIN.

Re: Ultimates 3 #1 spoiler/discussion

Didn't get acne. And those erections are still uncontrollable and spontaneous. So it's win/win for me.

Re: Ultimates 3 #1 spoiler/discussion

Well, its official. The nineties have started again.
Wait for the foil covers.

Then we'll know.

EDIT: I never really commented on the issue.

I guess the only things that really struck me was the art, which as a style I generally like. I don't usually like his style of exaggerated physical features, but It flowed well enough. Still somethings seem strange when you actually look at them.

As for the writing, I was a little confused by the revelation/confirmation that Pietro and Wanda are at least closer than they should be. And the implication that they were way closer than they should be. Pietro's idea to catch the bullets seemed rather obviously flawed. I'm surprised it would be his first instinct. I can tell they were trying make it seem like a knee jerk reaction to seeing his sister in danger, but I don't think they did it very well.

I'm really hope this doesn't turn into Avengers Disassembled.

Really? That would be a huge improvement.

Avengers Disassembled was Shakespeare compared to this.

Hmm. Then your voice will crack and squeak at inopportune moments to embarrass you around pretty girls.

E speaks the truth.

Say what you will about Disassembled, but at least it had a point.

I'm still not clear as to whether Ultimates 3 is supposed to have one, other than to make sure that Joe Madureira's Blockbuster Video Game Rental account is always in the black.

Re: Ultimates 3 Previews

I think I'm a horrible person. I laughed at the "Didn't you used to have a wife and kids" line.
Wait, it wasn't meant to be funny? I thought this was a parody of the Ultimates, you know, Cap caring more about language than the situation, Wasp being in charge. I thought the constant mentioning of Hawkeye's family was a recurring joke. Its all a joke... all a joke...

Re: Ultimates 3 Previews

I'm retitling this book "All Star Ultimates and Robin the Boy Wonder".

That is all.

Re: Ultimates 3 Previews

Look at the left panel of the spread - are Cap's eyebrows sticking out of his mask?

And it's totally rad how Thor can (presumably) shoot lightning out of his eyes.
