Ultimate Spiderman #101 discussion (Spoilers)

Yeah, but 616 has always adopted a "If your spider-sense is blaring, MOVE!" mentality. It's saved his *** many times. I think Bendis just ignores Spider-sense this time around if it doesn't suit his plot dynamics, which most of the time suck.

Maybe he should try to be a better writer.

Nah, wouldn't work. No matter how good you write there is always somebody somewhere who will somehow call it crap on crap and make certain the whole world hears what they have to say.

negative critizism is the best kinda, it gets your head out of your *** and view your work without bias

I agree as long as the criticism itself is without bias. If it isn't, it's easy to ignore. Subjective criticism is rarely worth listening to.

Tone mostly. They all think I'm a raving lunatic.

Not to get into a whole Bendis Board sucks thing, but I find it hilarious that some of the people that blasted you for being in the minority as far as liking this issue are the ones who take every opportunity possible to make fun of or otherwise criticize "red state" people for voting for Bush.

That's really funny to me.

Hey, you don't have to tell me. I'm wary enough to know what kind've of people the "majority" of comic book readers are. I've said it on this board before. If you read comics, you're stuck in a fantasy world and you have issues regardless of how sociable you are or how intelligent you are. I don't find it offensive but then there's certain people who are just so bizarre about everything. They're hyper liberal and they love far fetch'd stories. I can't fight that and I'm getting the eerie feeling I'm on everyone's hit list. I'm gonna have to watch my back at WW this year.

ooh.. Now i've been invited by Bendis to post all my critiques...

Heh... I just find it amusing, and I'm pretty sure he probably read this thread (I posted in my first post that I was paraphrasing what was said on these boards), because it definitely seems like he's trying to sound a little less... I am almost positive that he's being sarcastic by saying "thoughtful critique," almost as a snide comment against my *****ing about his education (which I admit was a little below me, and was a product of my frustration)... but I appreciate him trying to come across as a nicer guy... regardless of whether he was sincere or not.

I suppose I won't drop the title (heh, its actually a subscription for me... its a gift... I don't pay for it myself)... Or Powers, Or New Avengers (unless they start sucking hardcore, which they haven't been).

Yeah... I still find it amusing that I managed to cause a ruckus with an established Comic Book Writer. I feel important.

I don't like being called crazy. I mean this has all happened over the internet. How can they accuse me of being crazy?

Welcome to the internet. Just because some 15 year old calls me a retard or a jerk or a n00b, doesn't make it true. Ignore them, it's for the better.

Don't get too big a head, Doc. Just keep posting those thoughtful critiques, regardless of what the writer thinks of you.

Personally. . .I still want to see what Bendis does with the story and with the arc after it. I just hope he can redeem himself (Which he is more than capable of doing).

And how can you not take the source into consideration before getting hurt feelings about it?
