Ultimate Colossus

i dont think colossus is gay, but with all the points made, his curious facination with wolverine, his secret he has yet to tell, and his rejection of dazzler. mabey he's bi, but not gay plus that would be pretty contraversial having such a popular main-stream xman comming out of the closet. but maybe hes not gay or bi, maybe he has something else bothering him, or maybe we're reading the signs wrong. maybe he's just really shy, or maybe he has'nt found the right women yet, i think in the world tour arc he liked storm but she was'nt intreasted in him, she liked beast and that kinda shut him down and caused him to kinda withdraw in himself. i mean think of it, at that time the beast was blue and furry, and colossus was the ''pretty boy'' of the team and she still preffered a fuzzball to him, and that caused him to kind of build up a self esteem issue and had him questioning himself. and maybe the reason he rejected dazzler is because he likes the ''good girls'' and lets be honest here, im sure dazzler's been passed around more than a peace pipe, and if i were colossus, id probibly do the same thing. but thats just me.

Goodz you're a little confused or looking too much into it. You're taking the speculation that he'll be leaving the team and adding it to the theory. Remember I don't think he'll be leaving and the only reason he's so aggresive around Xavier is because he's unsure of wheather Xavier knows his secret. Charles is skilled enough to go in and out which is why Colossus is freaking out.

And when mentioned on the Vaughn board he acts as if it was assumed...

He is definately definately gay.

The storm idea is interesting, but i didnt really see it...

In the grand scheme of things, no, but the discussion revolves around whether he is or not and how that will affect his status in the book. So...yes.

My bad.I was lazy(largely cuz of the thought of reading thirteen pages)and presumed the thread was "Is he or isn't he?"
 
so out of curiosity, why are they making him gay? is it to promote gay tolerance by using such a popular character as their billboard guy or something? or are they just doing this to try to make the story more intreaging. just curious.

I don't know where it is, and it'll take me forever to search through, but I believe it was MWF who had a quote from MM himself saying he just made him gay, or something like that.

I concur wholeheartedly

And plus, with Colossus it makes sense. Colossus has always had... somewhat questionable tastes.... Like dating a 15 year old kitty pride when he was in his twenties... he's just kept the contraversy and changed the crush.

Plus it adds a little bit more to a character who isn't overshadowed with Cold War themes anymore... I mean, before he died, and then recently came back in 616... he really wasnt that interesting. To me, at least... he had all sort of pain, but it was in the past.

I agree that if gives Pete more depth, but I can't agree that his tastes were questionable. I mean with the recent Warren/Paige relationship. I mean he's in his thrities and she barely became 19 (aged her quickly to make her legal).

But when it comes to the maturity and mental stability of a 15 year old girl and a 19 year old girl, its a big difference. A 15 year old is still growing up, a 19 year old girl is a grown up, but still getting the hang of things...

Would you be comfortable if your 15 year old friend/sister/daughter started dating a hulk of a russian in his mid to late twenties?

I wouldnt be....

And I mean, in the seventies, that would have been even More contraversial.

You shouldn't mix 616 and Ultimate Colossus like that.
 
Well, I do believe that, if Colossus were to turn out gay, it would add to his character, however, something's gotta be done about his homosexuality. He's gotta get a boyfriend, he can't just be gay and left alone...
