Cool man, is this your first time getting a license?
Remember back in November when I got pulled over and was given three tickets?
Oh and it turned out that my headlight wasn't working after all. It was intermittently going off.

Well I filled out the paperwork back in December to fight it in court. I got the court date in the mail today. October 31. More than 11 months after I got pulled over. Oh the court systems in Toronto. So, I got pulled over on Friday night in a speed trap that I always make sure I slow down for, but this time I missed it. The cop gave me 21 (kms so 13 mph) over the speed limit, gave me a ticket b/c apparently my front right headlight was out. And then I realized I hadn't put my new insurance card in my car yet since the old one expired, so i got a ticket for that too.
3 tickets, $280, 2 points.
And the kicker: there's nothing wrong with my headlight. I took my car to a mechanic (for an oil change and emissions testing) and got him to take a look at the lamps as well. he confirmed that they were all fine, so I got him to write that he checked them and they were fine on my bill and I'm going to fight the tickets. I can't prove that I didn't just fix the light, but usually if you take it to court, they just reduce the tickets anyway.
Ah well, c'est la vie, as the kids say.
