The Social Thread: Houde Ain't Gettin' Some Tonight

Cool man, is this your first time getting a license?

Remember back in November when I got pulled over and was given three tickets?
So, I got pulled over on Friday night in a speed trap that I always make sure I slow down for, but this time I missed it. The cop gave me 21 (kms so 13 mph) over the speed limit, gave me a ticket b/c apparently my front right headlight was out. And then I realized I hadn't put my new insurance card in my car yet since the old one expired, so i got a ticket for that too.

3 tickets, $280, 2 points.

And the kicker: there's nothing wrong with my headlight. I took my car to a mechanic (for an oil change and emissions testing) and got him to take a look at the lamps as well. he confirmed that they were all fine, so I got him to write that he checked them and they were fine on my bill and I'm going to fight the tickets. I can't prove that I didn't just fix the light, but usually if you take it to court, they just reduce the tickets anyway.

Ah well, c'est la vie, as the kids say.
Well I filled out the paperwork back in December to fight it in court. I got the court date in the mail today. October 31. More than 11 months after I got pulled over. Oh the court systems in Toronto.

Oh and it turned out that my headlight wasn't working after all. It was intermittently going off.

This will indeed be my first time getting a driver's license.

Also found out that the school will provide a car for the test for $120. Sounds good to me.

I feel like the title of this thread is pretty ironic considering Houde is now having a baby.

Then again, he is a scientist. He's probably got lots of test tubes.

The real irony is that it's Watcher, of all people, making fun of someone for not getting some.

I honestly have the kid on ignore, but people are telling me he is still making fun of me.

All because I didn't want to collaborate his "Saving Some two bit actress from a Truck" story.

I wouldn't doubt the test tube babies. But I also find it Ironic that Houde's complaining about me making fun of him considering he spent the better part of my first year here making fun of everything he could about me.

.... Hey, it was within reason. considering how much of a pill Houde can be, How much he hate kids, and the fact that up untill he found sexy nurse he considered everyone to be a moron compared to him.

The truth is I'd save anyone from a truck before you.... well, I might try to save you but I'd hesitate. And that would probable do you in.

I remember when I didn't come on the Social threads because I was an unsocial *****.

Now, I'm no longer unsocial. :)

Finally got my tax returns. I know what I'm going to do with it. But here's a question for you guys. For those of you that do get a return. What will/have you spent on it?

For me: Pay some bills, buy some Turtle Beach Programmable Wireless Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound + Wireless Chat Ear Force XP500 for my Xbox, and maybe one or two games.
