The Social Thread: Houde Ain't Gettin' Some Tonight

Overlooking it.

The correct answer is 25%. Since 25% is up there twice, you double it to 50%.

I've been sick for the past day and half, finally over it. I called out sick to work yesterday, intent on playing Skyrim, but I couldn't concentrate on anything for more than ten minutes, which led for a very boring day.

For whatever reason, my wifi is down and not working since Friday morning. Not sure if it's happening to anyone else, though, in the area.

Luckily I have unlimited data for my iPhone, so I can still go on the Internet with 3G. The downside is I can't talk to people (in groups) which sucks since I'm always talking with Proj., TOG, and Houde a lot.

Thought I was over being sick, found out I was quite wrong.

It's Being Sick 2: Electric Boogie.

I've got a cold. Nothing major but it's pretty annoying having to jump up to blow my nose every 5 minutes.

Oh man, I'm not the only one then. I just got rid of my sore throat at the turn of the year, which had been lingering after a serious cold in mid-November. And it came back 2 days ago. The only upside is Halls cough drops, but I'd rather eat those for fun, not necessity.

Great. Someone here has been getting everyone sick. Who is patient zero?!

It's Houde. He intentionally infecting everyone with what he has, so he can sell us the cure. He is soooo evil. Only those who live in Canada are safe. Cause it goes against Houde's "Never Go Into Cananda For Any Reason" rule.

I blame Venom Melendez.

Has anyone had any plans ruined because of the weather this winter? It's been so unseasonably warm across pretty much the entire country that a lot of winter events and festivals have had to be cancelled, at least around here. It's affecting stores selling things like coats and other winter clothing, and landscaping companies that plow snow all winter have basically been sitting on their thumbs.

We've had 2 50 degree days in a row here in Michigan at the end of January. Unheard of.

Looking at Austin records 100 years ago, I see similar temperatures. I know there is such thing as century seasons. and in the 70's global cooling was all the rave.

Just remember, there is no such thing as Global warming.

Using this winter's weather to prove climate change makes about as much sense as using last year's winter weather (unusually cold, long spells of sub-freezing temps) to prove climate change.

So I'll be going to driving school soon!

I'll be taking a drug & alcohol course for two days, then some lessons that will allow for cheaper insurance, and then the DMV!
