The All-About Video Games thread

( I say Crap as COD was good but now just sells on it's name alone)

In a ironic turn of events. Today a friend i've not seen for a while bought me COD black ops for a birthday present. While the game sucks (it's just the same crap as usual.) I was playing it today.

Besides splitscreen (which is great) MOH is better in ever way. Better story mode as things that happened > Clichéd typical American Hollywood crap. However I thanked him and i'll still play it, mostly when friends are around for splitscreen.

On another note what is up with the thin assed Instructions? Further proof it's the same crap as they didn't even need to bother putting a full book in it it's just like "Meh you know the drill, same thing as the last 50 games"

But maybe I'm too critical as i'm not the kids and teenager demographic COD attracts.

For anyone who's played the Black Ops campaign: I am stuck on the Victor Charlie mission (#9). When I get to the point of where I'm supposed to go down the rathole, the whole team freezes up and nobody moves. No idea what I'm supposed to do. All the VC are dead. I'm guessing I'm missing something, of course, but can't seem to find what it is so I can continue on.

I have not had that problem, maybe your game is just buggy?

NOOOOO!! Fight the assimilation!

Rather, I should say, I'm back to the WoW universe. Finally hit 55 and made myself a death knight. Now we're trying to start a new guild called the, "Bitter Banana Brigade." The old one is Watchmen but no one stays for long.

Twice. TWICE it's happened to me now. Twice I've bought games on Xbox live only to have them go on sale days later. I even KNEW about their special 11 day countdown to the new year with new deals every day, and they had clues each day, and I read them all, convinced Limbo wouldn't be one of the ones to go on sale, so I bought it full price LAST WEEK. TODAY it goes on sale.

Same thing happened with Shadow Complex, except that went on sale like two days after I picked it up.

:arrgh::arrgh::arrgh::arrgh::arrgh:

and also

After playing the demo a while back, I finally downloaded and completed BRAID from Xbox Live Arcade. That should really be considered essential gaming for all experienced gamers. Everyone here should check it out. It's also the highest-rated Live Arcade title ever.

I was never able to finish it.

I should pick it back up.

I'm proud to have completed it without looking up answers, although I did get a "hint" for one of the puzzles. Once I also did a search to see if an obstacle towards the end was actually impossible and required you to try and quit the game to move on(it wasn't, but I wouldn't have put it past the makers. I figured it out a few minutes later).

Now I'm going to look for the eight hidden stars, which must be absolutely cruelly hidden as I didn't stumble onto a single one during my playthrough. I've since learned that one of them can only be achieved before putting together World 3's jigsaw puzzle, so I'm gonna have to start over to get them all.
