Smallville (spoilers)

Decent was a waste.

I knew it would be. The only reason I watched it was to see this Lex-centric episode....but even it failed to deliver.

This was THE final nail in teh coffin for me. I'm done with Smallville for good. Maybe I'll catch the last season on DVD or something. Maybe.

I don't know how you guys watch this ****.

I cant wait till the MK tie-in episode just in time for the release of MK vs. DCU. It will probably be the Halloween episode.

You just know it'll happen

It's not so much that Descent was a bad episode. Compared to a lot of season 7, it was not bad. The thing that REALLY pissed me off is that they completely spoiled any chance of even a little shock moment with Lex killing Lionel, by showing the whole sequence in the trailer for the episode.

Stop calling it 'Decent'. Descent was far from it!

Seriously, Lex killing a child (albeit an inner-child that wasn't technically real) was too cheesy to watch. I mean, geez.

A character who is specifically known for appearing a good long way into his career as a super hero is "finally" appearing before he's even tried on a pair of glasses.

I imagine he'll "finally" be having that courtroom showdown with Magog over killing the Joker any day now too.

I bet Doomsday will just be Lana turned evil after having chewed STRIDE EXTREME POWER CHEWING GUM: TASTE THE POWER!!

I'm so glad I stopped watching this show seasons ago.

Rats... sinking ship.... time to leave.

Looks like Allison Mack has quit now.

EDIT.

FOR ****S SAKE.

The casting calls for the series regulars in S8. Which I assume to be the new villains (including Doomsday) from the descriptions..

DAVIS BLOOME: 26, Charming and handsome. Davis is the new bartender at
the hip Metropolis lounge. Ace of Clubs, where he plays down his smoldering good looks with a self-effacing wit and down-to-earth soulfulness. Despite the ease with which Davis relates to his new
friends, he carries with him the long-felt feelings of a perpetual outsider. Beneath Davis' charismatic, easy going demeanor lies a brooding sense of isolation and insecurity. When he begins to delve into the haunting mysteries of his true origins, a darker truth begins to emerge, one of blood and serial murders, one of survival and utter destruction--one in which he is forced to confront the true evil inside of him...SERIES REGULAR.

TESS: 28, Drop Dead Gorgeous. Determined. Sexy. Vengeful. And with
amped physical strength. While Lex is away, she is in control of his estate and rules it with aggression. She's had intellect and the confidence all her life, though it's obvious she's had some training from Lex, as well. But as much as Lex has helped fortify her power, he is also her biggest weakness. She harbors an undying devotion to Lex,
claiming he saved her life a few years ago. She carries out his wishes with coercion, force, seduction and anything to get what she wants. And no one can resist her beguiling ways. Even Clark Kent. She doesn't remember anything before the day she met Lex. Once she realizes her previous life is buried below the surface, she's desperate to dig it
up...SERIES REGULAR.

Yes, because Doomsday needs a human form that has 'smoldering good looks'. Ever if Doomsday could change into human form it should still be bat**** crazy and violent.

BASTARDS!!! UTTER UTTER BASTARDS!!!!!!!!

CW I HOPE YOUR ENTIRE NETWORK IS ENGULFED IN FIRE AND YOUR BLACK SOULS CONSUMED BY THE FIRES OF HELL.

THANKYOU FOR RAPING, VIOLATING AND ****ING PISSING ON YET ANOTHER CHARACTER!!!

BASTARDS!!!!!!

That was it?

What a ****e season finale.
All this 'control the Traveller' stuff all season and what the device actually does?

It knocks down the Fortress. With Clark and Lex in it.

Although, on a bonus point, Lana left. Only to be hit by a passing truck.

Watcher has failed.

I don't know how you can still watch this. This thread should be locked.

Not seen all of season but I'm catching up. The episode Descent was pretty much what I've been waiting for in smallville Clark and Lex are officially enemies. I think the episode was handled very well and IMo that should have been the season final I think.

TV Guide said:
This season's theme is "double identities," [Kelly] Souders says. "It's about the Superman identity emerging as Clark Kent tries to maintain a normal life - or the appearance of a normal life." To that end, he takes a job at the "Daily Planet," right across the desk from Lois Lane (Erica Durance).

"The camaraderie as they work side-by-side that everyone loves from the DC Comics and all the Superman lore is going to come to fruition this year," Souders says. "The two of them are thrown together in some unfortunate situations for Clark. She becomes a little bit of an obstacle to him saving the world, when he's on a deadline."

Although it still probably won't work, this has piqued my interest and it will be interesting to see how they go about it.

That does sound cool. I hope we get to see him in the suit

Get real. If we ever see him in the suit, it will be in the last scene of the last episode of the last season and it will probably just be a brief glimpse of CGI.

I know. It sounds like this or next one is the last season. I just wanted one shot of him in the suit in the final.

Though it would never happen I wanted and still kind of want a Superman movie or a spin-off series that sees him as superman

It will surely involve a cameo by 30 Seconds to Mars and Clark turning into an enormous, anthropomorphic stick of Stride gum.
