Smallville (spoilers)

Oh yeah, the brainiac parts were awesome. But the rest of it was just... boring... Chloe is taking up a lot of the show now that she knows. Things just annoyed me a bit. And this "Senator Lex" is killing the Lex we love.

I'm worried about the remaining episodes this season.

Wait till Lexmas! Then you be just ranting and raving about how Lexs is so P.c now. I mean it a story that lex gets to see how his life would have been, if his mother had lived. And he never had to live with his father.

I was under the impression that James Marster's character was General Zodd... But you can't blame my ignorance. I like "Smallville", But hate "Superman". I'm gonna miss him though. James Marsters makes any character cool... I just wish he didn't go out so easily!
James Marsters is signed on for 12 episodes this season and is in negotiations for more, so more than likely, Brainiac will return.

I got chills at the end when Jonathan said that and then it just cuts to the credits. Millar & Gough have confirmed that a major character will die in the show's 100th episode, which is this season. And look at it like this: they've already copied the movies' version of Fortress of Solitude as well as General Zod being a megalomaniacal would-be ruler. What else happened in the films, notably as Clark's teen years came to an end? ;)

what did Johnathen say at the end I must have missed something?? also does anyone else think lionel will be the other mayger death in ep. 100?
He puts his hand on Clark's shoulder and smiles as he says "Everything will be fine," and then there's that sound that you hear that always leads up to something bad, and right when it reaches the giant impact, it just quickly cuts to the credits.

Oh, He was Brainiac? Y'know, His appearance was really decieving. When it was revealed that he was "Made" on Krypton, I thought "Braniac"... But, Yeah. I shouldn't be expecting costumes.

Yeah, they took a page from Superman: The Animated Series and made Brainiac a supercomputer made on Krypton, instead of the lame Colu thing in the comics. Making Brainiac come from Krypton (and in the case of S:TAS, the reason the Kryptonians didn't believe Jor-El) is alot closer to home and makes him, in my opinion, a much more lethal villain.

Definitely agree.

My money is on Chloe. Her character will go bye-bye in order to make way for Lois.

Plus the girl who plays Chloe needs more time to work on her other show Veronica Mars. :p

^^^^^^Yeah...see that right there was sarcasm. I was making a joke on how Chloe and the girl from Veronica Mars look just alike, so I made the punchline insinuate that the 2 are actually one in the same. Hahahahah.....I made a funny!!!! [/splinter]. <--- We'll see who gets that reference????

Overall though....I thought the show was pretty good. I would've liked to see Clark a little more broken up over the thought that your mom is gonna die.

I am starting to not like the FX for the show during the fights. When Clark moves fast he has this weird clear plastic jelly shadow that follows him. Now I know that it's supposed to signify that he's moving at superspeed.....but it looks cheesy and stupid.

The car contest was weak. Who didn't know that the song was "Wings of A Butterfly" by Him (at least I think that's the name of the song......I know it's got butterfly in the title....) playing on Lois's radio???

And as an added bonus----NO LANA!!!! Yay!!!!!!!! She does nothing but bring the show down.

I think I hate your thoughts on the show most of all of anyone on the site.

Lana is hott and is pleasant to look at. It's not her fault they give her bad storylines. She's meant to be a major background character not a witch.

Chloe's character was handed over to DC to appear in her own title. For the bizillionth time. She's not gonna die.

What made me mad about your comment is you actually cared about what song was playing in the car.

Different strokes homeboy. I think she's ok.....nothing special. Her character annoys the piss outta me.

Didn't know that little tidbit. I don't follow Superman series so aside from his mom, dad, Lex, Lois and Lana......I don't know anyone else who's close to him that's gonna die. Unless they bring back his friend Sam for brief cameo only to kill him off. But whatever.......

No......actually I didn't care. But that's what the car contest was about. Name that tune playing. I thought it'd be something a bit more obscure rather than a fairly popular song played on the radios now.

How that little statement upset you I'll never know. But then again I'll never really know how many licks it takes to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop................................but I think I'll find a way to go on with my life.

Well let me put it this way. What confused me about getting rid of Lana and killing Chloe confused me. That would leave only Lois and since Lois/Clark doesn't happen until the cape and blue tights, I doubt you're speculation on Clark's ladies is gonna happen.

The sarcastic eye roll thing.

ARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! Nobody gets me....

What specualtion??? We know that in the future Lana and Clark are not together. But we know she's alive.....so I figure they won't kill her. I figured Chloe would die based on Jor-El's warning and the fact that all the other cast members are still around in the future.

That depends on which future you're looking at. Many have Jonathan as being dead. In fact, post-Crisis and S:TAS are the only two that have Jonathan alive when Clark is Superman.

DC has a long, storied history of Infinite Earths, for better or worse -- no reason why Smallville should have to be consistent with any of the existing continuities. I'm putting my money on Lana biting it. From what I understand, the character has outlived her usefulness in the ongoing story.

The only purpose she has left, really, is as jerk-off material for guys like MwoF.

By this time next year, Kreuk will be reduced to doing straight-to-video fodder like House of Wax 2. Fact.

Those are fighting words...

Lana's character is Clark leaving Smallville behind. If there's no Lana, Clark would have little desire to not leave Smallville behind... From what you heard is that the writers turned Lana into a witch and a vampire. I said it already that Lana is best as a supporting character which is all she should be. Lana biting it is just plain crazy talk.
