Smallville (spoilers)

I already knew Superman Returns would be awesome. This episode was easily one of the best of this season. Although James Marsters was said to be signed for twelve episodes this season and he's only shown up in, what, four? Not to mention that there's rumors that they want to sign him for longer. I wanna' see how they'll play that one out.

And you guys will love anything they throw at you.

Pretty disappointing night if I have to say so.

The episode had too much Chloe. Thought they were fixing that. Poor Dialogue and my biggest peeve.... Ok, Clark time to trust Jor-El. Don't end it with Fine betraying you and you still being skeptical. Go to the damn fortress and ask him A. what that was all about and B. what Jor-El really wants.

It wasn't a completely bad episode but it wasn't the greatest which sucks because I was pysched for this whole Brainiac reveals himself gig.

What the hell was with the commercials? :x

3/5

Superman Returns Trailer...

All things I've seen through the net before with the exception of Superman over planet earth. It was cool but nothing great. Still looking forward to it.

3/5

For the second week in a row, we get a great episode with a bunch of glaring flaws.

Cons- They cheated us with the Special Effects until the climax
- Lois' plan seemed to rely on the guard loving her car
- Chloe going back and forth between Metropolis and Smallville
- Pa didn't seem that broken up about his wife slowly dying
- And technically, Lana definitely should've been there. Oh well!

Pros
- Marsters did a great "bad guy"
- Could the Black Crystal be the Eradicator?
- Tons of Kryptonian tidbits revealed, even if the names were reversed
- The fight was awsome

Other Stuff- As usual, Chloe shines while I couldn't care less about Lois.
- Maybe the bright light was infra-red, so Clark could be developing more types of super-vision

4.75 out of 5 Easily the best episode of the season.

P.S. Superman Returns? I nearly wet my pants during the trailer. even the very beggining with just the low "Krypton" theme playing gave me chills. And that last shot of him flying down through the stratosphere? Man oh Man.

I loved that shot of Supes over the planet cant wait to see it in full

An I only saw the end of the episode, and I dont watch the show, but it just had a great feel to see the fortress and the Phantom Zone. Takes me back to my childhood

Really good episode.

Things I liked

Brainac vs Clark
Zod in a mirror
Lois' look at the daily planet logo
Lienol Luthor
Brainac

Things I disliked

Never outing himself as Brainac
Zod not getting freed
Not any near naked Lois.

Even thought I knew it probably wouldn't happen, when the square started flying towards the portal, I was thinking "Ohmanohmanohmanohman....we'refinallygonnaseeZod!!!" I was hoping at least for a silhouette or an evil laugh or something. Oh well, it was still awsome.

When he does finally show up, IT HAD BETTER BE TERRANCE STAMP!!! Regardless of his voice, it would be an insult to have Stamp in an episode with Zod but not playing him. Stamp is the Zod. He defined him.

What was so "Marvel fanboy" about not liking an episode of a TV show that you usually enjoy and admitting that you thought it was awful?
The fact that it had all of the elements of a good episode, especially mythology-wise?

But if the reason he didn't like the episode had anything to do with him being a Marvel fanboy, why would he like the show?

I can't see any other reason why. Sure, the car part was a shameless contest plug, but the rest of the episode, especially the Brainiac parts, were great.

Oh yeah, the brainiac parts were awesome. But the rest of it was just... boring... Chloe is taking up a lot of the show now that she knows. Things just annoyed me a bit. And this "Senator Lex" is killing the Lex we love.

I'm worried about the remaining episodes this season.

Did anyone else catch that odd little moment at the end? Johnathan is talking to Clark and he says something like "Everything's going to be fine". Then he smiles and they very abruptly cut to the credits. Forshadowing?...

I was under the impression that James Marster's character was General Zodd... But you can't blame my ignorance. I like "Smallville", But hate "Superman". I'm gonna miss him though. James Marsters makes any character cool... I just wish he didn't go out so easily!
