Smallville (spoilers)

That was a great episode. Had no idea that was Brainiac but I watch Smallville very inconsistenly. Aside from that I felt the guy who plays Clark did not do that great of a job acting in this one. There were some moments where his expression didn't match what was going on.

I think this is the best acting Tom Welling has ever done on Smallville. He really comes off as paranoid and insane.

He probably got acting lessons on the set of The Fog.

Hey - the kid can act. Remember the episode where Clark and Lionel switched bodies? The respective actors did such dead-on impersonations of one another that it was almost scary. It showed us that Tom Welling can play more than just a modest farm boy.

Well, I personally like the idea, considering how Lionel is pretty much out of the picture these days, and we need a character that's resourceful and manipulative besides Lex.

As soon as James Marsters's character was properly introduced, I immediately wished that he wouldn't end up becoming a doomed recurring villain, just because Milton Fine's personality is so freakin' cool.

I wanna' know how they'll make him a series regular when Clark is probably going to find out his intentions this week, with the whole Fortress thing.

Splinter is the best episode in this season so far. The Halloween "Thirst" episode was meh, "Exposed" was okay since it added some nice plot about Lex now reaching to politics and all the Dukes of Hazzard references.

Had lots of creepy stuff and shows that Welling can be believable as a psychopath. Awesome atmosphere, and the final revelation of Milton Fine as to what he really is was just icing on the cake.

The only thing I didn't like was that Braniac is kind of doing a repeat of Lex, as in a future bad-*** villain that starts as Clark's friend first, but still he is awesome. I really hope that they won't just kill Braniac off in the end of the season and will continue on as another recurring villain. The brand new opening sequence and Clark now dealing with his college years guarantees that only a ratings crash would keep Smallville from having a 6th and 7th season.

Yeah.....but I wouldn't hold my breathe in hopes of seeing Welling in the costume. I read an article a few months ago talking about the new season and Welling mentions that the producers/writers wanna chronicle his life thru college and end the series with him going off into the world (...Metropolis anyways...) and to start his new life with his powers fully realized.

When asked about the suit---he said that he would love to wear the suit....but he doesn't think it'll happen except for maybe the series finale.

Couple that with the fact that the WB recently cancelled 7th Heaven (...FINALLY!!!!!!) ....and Smallville is one of the networks oldest and most popular shows.

I tried searching for the article online but couldn't find it........

Yeah, I have to agree with MWoF. Lex had the capacity for bad in him, sure, but he ran from it for the longest time and he honestly tried to be the good guy. Brainiac isn't a good guy and he hasn't tried to be - it's always been his intention to kill the Last Son and free Zod. Not to mention that he was actually the one making Clark see all of those things with the faux Kryptonite.

Just announced on Tv. Durning Smallville They will show the teaser trailer for Superman Retrurns.
