Runaways Vol. 2 #1-24 (Brian K. Vaughan/Adrian Alphona) (spoilers)

Re: Runaways series discussion (spoilers)

more **** that we already know, expect he talks about stan lee so much it makes you think hes leaving his wife for him.
You mean he's not?

I haven't read the article, but I thought it was something new. :(

Re: Runaways series discussion (spoilers)

So BKV's era ends and it ended well.

Alphona's art was completely boss.

Somebody else do the summary....I'm feelin' lazy.

Just read this issue. Seriously, it reinforces my hatred for Tony Stark.

I'm starting to like Victor more and more though.

Re: Runaways series discussion (spoilers)

The team finds Chase talking to the Gibborim, the Gibborim won't take Chase's sacrifice because he wouldn't be innocent if he killed himself, they try to take Nico, there's a fight, the Gibborim die, the Runaways return to the Hostel where Iron Man is wiating for them and the Gibborim are seen talking to Alex Wilder in hell.

i don't know if it's the summary and the way you said it, but that sounds totally lame. hahaha i can't stop laughing. You have me rolling in every thread.

You forgot the part where Molly rebooted Victor using her awesome logic.

It was teh awesome.

You know what bothered me a bit. Iron Man's Appearance. My friend reads all BKV books and she was skeptical of Runaways because she doesn't like Superhero stuff. But when she read it she loved it with the exception of Escape to New York. To me, the Iron Man scene was gold at the end, definitely a moment. But that's only because I'm aware of Civil War. She's not gonna understand or care about it at all...

I actually agree with her. Runaways works perfectly without the interaction of the Marvel Universe. When characters like the Avengers and Iron Man show up, it just seems forced... like Queseda's told him BKV that he has to have Runaways fit into continuity, which is sad.

And it looks like Whedon's going to follow with the Punisher showing up...

Anyway, I reread Volume 6 last night and this comic is so good. When does Volume 7 come out?

Who do you think is going to take over after Whedon? Mindy Owens?

I'm confused? You think the issue sounds lame? (which is What she said) or Iron Man's appearance sounds lame?

I'm guessing the appearance of Iron Man is what he was referring to.

But I kinda agree with Runaways working "outside" of the Marvel universe. But because of Civil War....it only makes sense that they're brought back into 616.

Re: Runaways series discussion (spoilers)

Iron Man's appearance works fine, I think, even without any knowledge of Civil War. It kind of "bookends" bothe volumes of the book, with the team fighting the Gibborim then being confronted by their super-hero "parents."

Plus, with Alex there. . . come on.
