I've been reading through this thread, really for the first time, and now wish I hadn't. What's with all the bashing? It's completely uncessisary. I hate the Wii, but you don't see me going into the Wii thread and telling you all that Virtual Boy is better than the Wii. It's a videogame consol. If you don't like it, don't play it and don't talk about it. It's not up to you to make sure that people don't "Waste theeir monies on teh suxxorzzingz PS3 more lik PSGAY".

Otherwise, I thought the article that Ourchair posted was interesting and very true. As much as I enjoy the PS3, it needs some serious work.

I think I may have read that a while back but it was good to see it again. It brings up some valid points.

Could Sony be watching what the other two consoles have in store for online before they solidify thier plans? They are making improvements (slowly) to thier online service, and not having it set in stone seems like a good thing for Sony. It allows them to change things to what would work best for us gamers and adapt to thier competitors online offerings.

Sure you could argue that Sony is just copying the other guys like they always do, but that's like saying any controller with an analog stick is ripping off N64. I hate that aguement, it's so lame.

With Sony planning to have this console around for 10 years I'm OK with not having the perfect online experience right now.

Anyway thanks for posting. Much better than Virtual Boy > PS3 nonsense.

It has come to my attention that there is annoying, troll-like behaviour of people just bashing the PS3 for no real reason, and hurting the discussion that this thread can have, and pissing off people who are visiting this thread because they want to buy a PS3.

Now, I'm not reading this thread. I don't care about the PS3, so I don't know who's done what, but it's simple: If I get a complaint about someone posting something detrimental to the well-being of this thread, I'll do something painful to them involving some kind of wriggling jelly-like creature. Or use that infraction setting.

Look, this thread is for people discussing the PS3 and finding out new information on it, whether it's a good buy or not.

Do not fill it up with nonsense - what's funny for you may be needlessly offensive to others. I've never got a complaint about posts before, so this is some kind of special stupidity being practiced here.

I don't want to hear about this type of behaviour again. Those of you that need to; be more appropriate than you have been, okay?

Oh - this is not a discussion. I don't want any posts about how "I'm justified." You're not, all you'll do is make me aware that it was you who pissed people off. Remember, I'm not up on who's been doing what in this thread.

That said, if a particular jackass needs a more stern dealing than this post, the rest of you let me know - just link me the problem posts in question and I'll sort it out.

Back on topic. :)

Question not to start anything but how come when I post in this this thread why I hate ps3 the mods say "No more bashing it" but yet if I make a thread about a movie or game it is ok for people to go in and say it sucks (e.g Alvin and the Chipmunks or anything dbz)?

Because the PS3 argument keeps going and going and people think they're original when they say it sucks.

Because it's one thing to say, "PS3 sucks. I won't buy one."

It's another thing to say, "OMG WII PWNS PS3 LOLZ!!!!!!11111"

What I don't understand is why EVERY thread started about certain console's on nearly EVERY forum inevitabley turns into a rabid fanboy console war.

I just downloaded the Ninja Gaiden Sigma demo, and the Gran Turismo HD game, both are awesome.

have they fixed Gran Turismo?

I use to love those games then one of the ps2 ones came out with no 2 player and i never looked at the others

i own every GT game and they all have multi-player so i have no idea what your talking about

that may have been Gran Turismo Concept (i don't really consider that in the series it was more like a patch), GT3 & 4 were both amazing

Looks as though Ken Kutaragi will continue to work with Sony for development of the Playstation 4, 5 and 6.

I kinda figured him stepping down last week was a sign Sony wasn't too happy with him, maybe I was wrong.

No to beat a dead horse, but I was thinking the same thing.

I mean, there has been plenty of talk about the failure of the PS3 completely sinking Sony. That's incredible - Sony is a huge company.

And I know there are people that love it, but the truth of the mater is that no one is buying the PS3. And it's looking more and more like BluRay is going to go the way of the UMD.
