Ourchair's Awesome Anime Thread

Yeah this is pretty awesome. I wasn't a huge fan of SEED and now I'm wishing these mech were in Musou 2 instead of the SEED one. or even the crappy Butterfly Gundam. That thing was fugly.

I wish it had the American Gundam from G-Gundam. C'mon it was a Gundam that was a cross between a football player and a cowboy, and that was before its "shoulder pads" transformed into boxing gloves!

OHHHHHH that one was awesome. The french one however...

*nods head*

So season 2 of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya apparently has people with **** for brains producing it. Episode 2 was boring, episode 3 starts out the same as 2 but towards the end the cast realizes that Haruhi has them stuck in a "Groundhog Day" time loop with the emotionless girl as Bill Murray, not a bad twist but I had it figured out fifteen minutes before the cast did. I just watched episode 4 and it was the exact same ****ing thing as episode 3. Seriously, nothing got resolved and the story is back to where it was at the end of episode 2. Who the **** greenlit that ****? In a 12 episode anime (which I assume this will be) you can't spend 1/3 of the episodes on a ****ing time loop story where no one does anything different.

I've been watching Lucky Star.

The Lucky Channel segments are easily the best part.

I have yet to decide if Konata and Kagami are gay for each other, but I can see where the internet is coming from.

The opening for Bakemonogatari (Ghostory in English)

The first episode is pretty good. It's kind of weird story wise, but the setup is interesting. The animation is really good and it plays around with different styles, and the series deserves a look based on just that.

I just watched Perfect Blue. Fantastic movie.

I am so in love with Makemonogatari right now, it's not even funny. I'm Harassing torrent sites almost daily to see if the new episode of it and of Aoi Hana are out yet.

I'm liking Bakemonogatari and Wolf and Spice II, even though they are mostly just people talking to each other for 30 minutes.

I finally got around to watching some new anime.

Canaan- Great character designs and production values, but after the first episode I have no idea what the plot is.

Bakemonogatari- Everyone seems to be raving about this, and rightly so. Great animation, coupled with and interesting storyline.

Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom- Stupid name for an anime. The first episode was okay, but I don't really see myself watching any more of this.

Sometime soon I'll get to Shangri-La. It sounds promising.

The plot is slow burning, but the action makes up for it. I suggest you stick with it.

I agree.

It gets better but it is somewhat predictable, I enjoy it though.

I'm kind of middle of the road about this one, it just takes forever for all of the separate plot lines to become coherent.

Also, I highly recommend Basquash! especially if you liked Gurren Lagaan.
