Oh absolutely. Oshima Michiru is an awesome composer.

I particularly like the 2nd soundtrack album entitled Fullmetal Alchemist Original Soundtrack 2 which features the hauntingly awesome "Gouyoku (Greed) and the march-friendly "Kantou". And I'm sure every FMA fan loves "Romei" and "Homunculus".

I'm a very very big nitpicker about motion picture soundtracks, and absolutely love FMA.

Ooooh "Romei" is my favourite at the moment. i can understand why some people wouldnt like japanese music like Wade because of the language but lately i am so in love with it i can even watch Japanese tv shows with no subs and still enjoy them when i pick up on small words.
i really like this show from Japan called Elite Yankee Saburo its so ****ing funny despite understanding very little of what is going on

Well, degustibus non disputandem. I wouldn't argue against someone's preference for English lyrics, but at the same time, I find it surprising in the face of the popularity of 'world music'.

I have nowhere close to a conversational vocabulary of Japanese but I am still a mad crazy fan of Japanese rock and Japanese indie music.

Also, English inserts itself in smidgen bits into Japanese rock more often than people realize if they look past groups like the pillows and the 5.6.7.8s. It just happens to be pronounced in such a funky fashion as to be difficult to recognize.

Everyone must learn to love Chirinuruwowaka and Bugy Craxone.
 
Death Note.........im really diggin it. I actually downloaded the movie as soon as it was leaked on the net but didnt want to watch it until i had tried the anime first. i guess im going the right way now working through the anime first?
 
so ive watched the death note films and im up to about episode 30 of the anime. i really love this show :D. made me want to start eating red apples
My cute Japanese teacher on MSN messenger says i should watch Fist Of The North Star anime. i remember seeing the live action movie which was crap but the arcade punching machine is ****ing awesome! im gonna give it a go i think but no way am i sitting through american dubs. but where is the best place to start?

I had a massive plot point of Death Note spoiled for me.

They then told me what happened in the end.

I screamed for an hour.

And then ruined the ending of Lost for them.
 
im up to episode 31 of the death note anime. when does this thing end? i mean its still ****in cool but really
i thought it should have ended when he killed off L
 
Everyone ignores me on UC. i guess my ranting about asian females has got me iggied. but anyway w00t!!!! def notez iz nearly over for me. i have 2 episodes left to watch and then its all finished. episode 37 (final) doesnt get released in Japan till the 26th if anyone is interested. anyone who isnt checkin this out......check it the **** out will ya?!?!

On Another note i just layed my hands on the first episode of the new anime for Devil May Cry. i watched a couple minutes earlier and its lookin pretty ****in sweet.

Im also interested in checking out the following Anime:
Trinity Blood
GunGrave
Excel Saga

anyone who has any comments on them let me know what you think of them

However! the FightMania (?) arcade game where you beat the **** out of red pads while they fly out at you is the ****! i love that ****in game. wish i could get one of those cabinets set up in my home so bad
When i was in Japan they had a badass Hakuto No Ken arcade fighting machine, 2d SF style, which i was really crap at but still it rocked hard!

i watched this at a friends house years back. i hated it BUT the character "Buaku" (?) was ****in ace!! and didnt he have like 2 hot assailants or something?
Shirow has some jaw dropping art though

well i was young and stupid when i saw it. my friend used to have so much bad anime its crazy though so i just assumed most anime was garbage and also hated him for his bad taste.
oh im really trying to find a picture on the net of a poster he had by Shirow. it was a girl in like traditional japanese garments blowing some bubblegum with these little cats in the background. i really love this image! :D
if anyone can help me find it thatd be great

I saw the Devil May Cry ep. earlier this week, not bad so far. As for the others, I've only seen GunGrave, which is pretty good. It's half Devil May Cry styled action, half crime drama in the vein of The Godfather.

yeah its definitely worth checking out, it has a nice mix of everything. unless you are looking for hentai then maybe just go look for Urotsukidoji :shock:

I saw the first ova of tales of symphonia. Where else can I get these online for free and buy the dvds as well?
 
i can only find the first episode fansubbed for you Hibiki, maybe epiosde 2 hasnt been subbed yet?. i tried!

i just watched the first episodes of GunGrave and Trinity Blood

well GunGrave looks like a pile of **** and Trinity Blood actually looks like it might be some good. it had a nice mix of everything.
