Nintendo Wii discussion

Re: Nintendo Wii - prerelease news & discussion

After a minute of seating there, I get it. Sports game? Pfft, if it's online, I'll play some Ultimate Alliance.
I suspect the game will be online, but not this year. U.S. isn't getting any online capablities for the video games until 2007.

Re: Nintendo Wii - prerelease news & discussion

This was off topic to the MUA thread so I will post this here about the Wii remote

There is no difference between the gamecube controller and the SNES update beisdes the shape. So what are you crying about?

The shape is the most important thing, you can add the buttons you want they're still going backwards in terms of design. The Gamecube controller was great, PS2 great why couldnt they have just continue with that desgins, It fits so perfectly in your hand. Those handles were awesome and now cause I want a signal concrete entity for a controller I have to go back to a less confrontable design? **** that. There's a reason why they havent use those types of controllers for a decade, cause controllers have gotten better. I mean jeez they couldn't have one person spend to weeks making a mold that would fit the circuit design?

Oh yeah. Because trying something new is baaaad.

Its not that, I magine the new one will be great for some games, but jeez what the hell should the rest of use who don't like do, settle for one from 10 ****ing years ago?

You DO know it was said you can still use the GC controllers, right? There are some exceptions, of course.

No none of the wii games will be compatible with GC controllers, only Smashin Bros will be because Wii controller sucks too much for that game.

I agree with you on this.

I think they should of had an option Wii mote for alot of games e.g Wii Sports but they should of had a updated version of NGC pad for games that you really dont want the Wii mote for e.g Rpgs , fighting.

This is one of my remaing doughts when it comes to Wii that they put all their eggs in one basket with the gimicky Wiimmote. I'm still getting a Wii but I wish they had fixed the pad. One of the advatages IMO with ps3 pad is that it has motion thing that ok is not a good as Wii's by any means but the fact it is still in a normal pad that is comftable is a huge plus

Yes, the GameCube controller is compatible with Wii but for it to work with games the developers have to implement that feature as an extra in the game. Needless to say about 95% or more of the games will NOT have this feature.

Most RPG's will how ever.

Yeah, too bad that there isn't more RPGs to Nintendos consoles anymore.

Nintendo = Adventure and "kiddy" games, Sony = RPGs and sport simulator games and finally Microsoft = Computer games. This isn't ALWAYS the case as all sort of games is released to all consoles but it is where the main core of the games lay.

Re: Nintendo Wii - prerelease news & discussion

My brother has told me that Nintendo has asked Rockstar for M-Rated games.

Yeah, I put "kiddy" in quote signs because that what people refer them as. In reality they are All-Ages games that anyone can play.

Re: Nintendo Wii - prerelease news & discussion

They're showing a Wii off at a con I'm going to today, so I'll see what happens.

Re: Nintendo Wii - prerelease news & discussion

I'm showing incredible restraint. How so? I'm waiting until 2007, when the price of the console will be lower and more worthwhile games will be out.

BECAUSE I HAVE NO MONEYS. :(

How come after all these months of knowing the Wii's name, it still makes me giggle? :D

Re: Nintendo Wii - prerelease news & discussion

They need to take advantage of the silly name for advertisements...

here's an ad:

I forsee people of all a running around and doing fun things, shouting "WHEEEEEE!"

Then someone's playing a Wii, and then THEY shout "Wheee!"

"Nintendo Wii"

"Fun."

It'd be AWESOME

That's not restraint! You're just poor. But here, I'll let you have some more. :p
