Re: Nintendo Wii - prerelease news & discussion

Here is a link to a Wii calculator.

This bad boy gives you options to figure out how much your Wii will cost you. It includes the system, taxes for your state, extra controllers, and all the launch titles, plus the virtual points for the Wii online thingy.

Mine will cost $461.11. I added an extra Wiimote, nunchuck, classic controller, LOZ twilight princess, Marvel Ultimate alliance, and CA sales tax. Still pretty cheap:D

All that and still cheaper than just the PS3 console

Re: Nintendo Wii - prerelease news & discussion

$459.92

console pack

2 more wiimotes
2 more nunchucks
2 retro
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2

Re: Nintendo Wii - prerelease news & discussion

I'll be getting the system with one Wii controller, and 2 games (no Wii points yet). It will cost me $413.36. Not bad at all. The games will be The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Red Steel.

Whoa... $450 seems like a lot for a video game machine.

I think I'll stick with FreeCiv.

Re: Nintendo Wii - prerelease news & discussion

Damn. Im gonna be broke.

Wii plus Zelda for me. Might get a retro control but it works with Gamecube control right? Are the consoles coming out in different colors?

Nope. If you'd read any of the reports from the final reveal or seen any of the videos about it, it's been said that at launch, it will only be available in white.

Re: Nintendo Wii - prerelease news & discussion

From the latest news about Zelda it has been revealed that the Gamecube control will not work with the Wii version of Zelda. The only control that will work is the new Wii control. Also the Wii version will be a mirrored version of the GC version, as in the things that are on the left side in the GC version will be on the right in the Wii, if the road turns to the right in the GC version it will go to the left in the Wii version and so on and so on.

That's......weird.

Yes it is. And also a really cheap way of getting people to buy two "different" games.

Here is a picture of what I'm talking about:

MANY many people. You would be surprised. And that wasn't the point.

Good for you, I have never understood those who get a game on the preference that it looks good (and I guess that doesn't really apply here since they are the same game), but good for you.

Wii + LoZ:TP + Tax + 10% Discount from my mom's job = $293.73

Not bad at all. Plus, I'll be getting another game from my sister (Probably).

Most likely they've already sold out but you can reserve a Wii at any Gamestop starting today. $50.00 deposit. I read that the production is ahead of schedule so this may be a little easier to get your hands on than a PS3.
