HEY! I said it,too, that shes probably working for Fury! Long time ago, but I said it!

Oh right you did. I guess his HYDRA connection got me pumped.

Why would HYDRA work for Fury, and why would Fury work WITH HYDRA, when the two hate each other? They were the SPECTRE to his Bond.

Notice Madame Hydra didn't seem to know who Jessica's contactor was. Fury could be working behind the scenes take the whole deal apart.

Re: New Avengers series discussion (spoilers)

I hope Ronin is Iron Fist... or Stick.

Just because.

Ooooo foreshawoding! :)

Re: New Avengers series discussion (spoilers)

Just been thinking Fury ever since Spider-Woman was seen talking off-panel about spying on both SHIELD and the Avengers early in the run. Not sayin' Fury is working with Hydra, but that he's made key recruits (SW, Madame Hydra, if that is indeed really her) to regain control of Shield. The battle with Black Widow II in the Savage Land just reeked of foreshadowing. I think Cap is also in with Fury regaining control, and not sharing with the other Avengers. (CAP and Spider-Woman may not even realize that both are working with Fury). Cap's wariness about talking about Shield to Murdock in the opening Roinin arc kinda hinted at that.

Iron Fist, it could still be.
But I've been thinking, why would Iron Fist need to wear a wig? Cuz his hair is short and blonde.

Re: New Avengers series discussion (spoilers)

Dialogue and actions lean more towards Shang-Chi than Iron Fist......besides, why would Dnny need a new costume/id?

Why would Shang Chi need to wear a wig? He also has short hair, not long.

Well it's just like saying some character that doesn't have a movie deal could be it still. I'm voiding some of the hints that were given just for the sake of giving characters like Iron Fist a fighting chance still.

Anybody else laugh when Luke Cage got in the elevator and Matthew Wilder's Break My Stride was playing as elevator music? It was just funny to see Luke Cage all ready to fight as that played in the background.

Yeah it was funny. The whole fight scene gave me a good chuckle. It was well done.

I'm only worried that every fight scene is gonna be written with all this humor and it will get old...

Can't find anything on him. Who is this "Crazed General", a long time forgotten villain?
Remember Sentry, the long time forgotten hero?

The General was among Sentry's limited rogue gallery. He was a very minor character (see: two background appearances) in the original Sentry mini, and Bendis, in his infinite knowledge, decided that he'd be behind the whole mindwipe thing, even though it completely eliminates and contradicts everything in the original mini.

God, I hate you, Bendis.

I have the mini... what parts was he used in? Or wait the mini or what's being released now?

It's odd how he is building his own little tight-knit cocoon-y continuity world with NA, Pulse, Secret War, House of M and whatever this thing he's writing next year - while completely not giving a damn about other continuity (and characterization). You'd think that bringing back a character like Sentry, especially one with such a compact back story, would mean he'd revel in Sentry's continuity. Apparently not.

I bet that Sentry's staying power in the Marvel U is limited, though, and I bet that's how Bendis planned it.

*Face shoves you* He keeps Daredevil in mind when he writes too! I agree I don't want too much Sentry but now that The Void is gone... what the **** the void was the best part...

Keep those hands to yourself, boy.

But, fine, add Daredevil to the list, since it merely helps prove my point,

Sentry #1 was bad enough, so I didn't read #2 - did Void somehow vanish in that?

Re: New Avengers series discussion (spoilers)

OK, #13 came out today. Where to begin...

I was trying to hold off ranting about Ronin being Echo until I read the whole story. Now I have.

I don't have a problem with Ronin being Echo. I really don't. What I do have a problem with is Marvel and Bendis hyping this secret identity to a character that I have never heard of. I don't read Daredevil, and I'm not alone. There are plenty of other people who have no idea who Echo is.

What is the point of making it a secret identity if no one who it is?!

So yeah, not real happy about that. I was hoping for some more twists in the identity and whatnot, and they never came.

That said, this issue and this arc were good - better than I was expecting.

Basically, for anyone looking for a rundown, we find out that Silver Samuri might not be as bad of a guy as everyone thinks. But he is bitter about being kidnapped by SHIELD and outs the US government for what they did. Iron Man tells Cap that the Avengers need to reveal themselves as well, and using this situation would be ideal.

They are taking Madame Hydra back to the US and - I'm not real clear what happens here because there are no words and Finch isn't really the best at storytelling without words - but it looks like Jess hits the override on the hatch in order to dump Madame Hydra into the ocean (maybe to cover up?), and Cap accidently gets dumped too. Jess goes after him, can't recover, and Iron Man saves the day. They don't pick up any life readings for MH, but don't think she's dead.

Later Cap and Jess are talking and he says, "So, who are you working for?" and it leads into next issue.
