Lost *spoilers*

yeah, we find out that Jacob has been behind the scenes influencing the lives of the losties for years. So presumably the island being blown up removed Jacob's influence and their lives unfolded in slightly different ways.

*nod* Yeah. I follow. An the reflections in the mirror are the point of intersection that causes the divergences in the timelines, which is possibly why the Losties never saw the lighthouse when they were staying in the caves before but they can see it now, after the timelines diverge.

I wonder how Jacob was supposed to be contacting the new arrival (121, I think?) if he's dead.

I don't recall him saying he needed to contact them personally. Just that they need to get to the island and will find a way. But he did say turn the mirror to 108, which on the wheel had "Wallace" written next to it. So now the question is who the **** is Wallace?

So, in the last episode (Lighthouse) the directions on Hurley's arm look like they say "Adam @ 108" and on the wheel in the lighthouse the number 108 had the name Wallace next to it.

So who is Adam Wallace?

Chaos at the Temple!

I loved Keamy showing up. And the random Jin.

Terry O'Quinn is owning this season.

Somehow it's always satisfying to see Kevin Durand die. He's so good at playing the guy you love to hate.

I thought Dogen's story was kind of lame. He was portrayed as this mythic character. He didn't like the way English "tasted" and then it turns out he's just a Japanese banker who misses his son? I wanted him to be centuries old.

As if creepy Claire wasn't enough, now we have creepy Sayid too. You know if Ben is creeped out by a character, they must be legit.

I wasn't a big fan of this episode. It sort of felt like it was necessary to bring the plot to a point where everything's in place and now stuff can start happening, but besides that it wasn't very interesting.

There's nothing really to say about the episode. It was for the most part pretty much by the book... It went exactly how I thought it would. I hope that next week the show begins to pick up in terms of development. Only 10 more episodes and I'm still scratching my head about a thousand things right now...

There's actually 12 episodes because we've also got a two hour finale.

I saw in an interview with Carlton Cuse that he was disappointed that it wasn't shown in the episode, but Kate's name was written in the cave.
and her name was crossed off.

I liked this episode! I like how Miles is just staying out of trouble. He's totally responding like I would.
"Kate! We have to run! There is a smoke monster killing everybody!!"
"no Miles, I have to find Claire!"
*Turns around and gets his ass out of there*

So Flocke has recruted Sayid, Claire and possibly Sawyer and Jin. Kate and the people from the temple are with him as well.

Jacob has recruted Hurley and Jack.

Sun, Miles, Lapidus and the girl from the temple are together.

Richard and Ben are possibly alone in the jungle.

That prisoner's pretty smart -- I wouldn't trust that guy either.

Also, I rewatched the episode and actually quite liked it. There were too many people in the room to hear some of the stuff being said and I actually thought the episode was well structured around Sayid's love for Nadia. In both timelines, he kills two people so that he could do anything for Nadia. Pretty cool.

Next episode is Ben's... I'm interested to see what his life has been like, seeing as how his entire childhood will be different.

So anyone feel like helping me get the word out about the st paddy's Lost shirt? I don't frequent that many LOST forums and think it would be dickish to just create a name just for self promotion. So if you happen to go to other sites for lost mind making a post about it?

Anyway I've been meaning to make a long post detailing my endgame theory. I've posted before but I wanted to update with the flash sideways before the end of the show. Just to have noted for the record and see how close it was to the actual end. But I keep putting it off for some reason I've been meaning to do it since the premiere. So hopefully I can get to that.

Also I made this, could have been bigger but I kinda ****ed up

Now here is the episode that I've been waiting for. It made up for the two past episodes which sort of dragged (although I did like the Sayid episode after watching it a second time).

I liked Richard's sudden turn. I kind of expected this once Jacob died -- at least, I surmised that Richard could be killed now that Jacob was out of the picture. I didn't know he wanted to die or why he wanted to die until tonight, of course. The writers are doing a good job using all of the characters to characterize Jacob and MiB now that Jacob is dead and MiB has taken over. I'm not quite sure who is the good guy or the bad guy... Both characters have strong arguments for both good and bad... What I think, though, is the flash sideways are a result of MiB's free will philosophy... Without Jacob interfering in all of the character's lives, the flash sideways would have been what happened. Where that becomes significant is still a mystery.

That's the Jack I've been dying to see since season 3... Man, that part was awesome when he lit the fuse and then sat down. He's slowly becoming a hybrid of his brash former self and the former John Locke before the Smoke Monster assumed his identity.

Charles Widmore is back, huh? Cool to see him finally on the island... Or, near it I should say. Of all the spoilers I missed, I missed the one that said he was coming so I was definitely surprised. I guess we'll see what happens in episode's to come.

The only thing I really didn't like was Ben's turn at the end of the episode. I was fully expecting him to blow Ilana away... Which I really wished he would have done. I guess there are too many bad guys around these days and to have Ben continue to be a villain would be too much at this stage... Who knows. I wish he would've dug up Locke's body and brought him to the spring at the temple to revive him.

Yeah those kinds of episodes are more set up, Character like Sayid and Kate usually work best in a supporting role than the main take charge character of the episode. Not always the case mind you.

I love Alpert this season, the guy plays him so well, just utterly defeated and terrified.

Definitely, I always see Jack as being a lot like Cyclops of X-men there are times when he seems like a wimpy boy scout and times whens he is a bad ass leader. Damn go to see him back as the latter. And good point on the hybrid, this scene and the poison pill scene both have aspects of a scientific mind and blind faith in them.

Also love that they're bring up the "island won't let you die" concept

Definitely awesome, I can't wait to see his role. If they had just forgotten him it would felt like we were missing something

I actually love his turn, one of the great aspect of hi character is that he's not evil, he's just a guy fighting for a cause, sure there's selfishness involved but he is also selfless. And after loosing everything I saw this episode as him becoming one of the survivors. His story has him loosing everything he fought for and having it all be his fault. And I feel the moment he saw the smoke monster he started to regret killing Jacob more and more feeling absolute guilt and what miles said pushed it over the line. And his tale of redemption here was very much like what the survivors had, so he is now one of them.

You are awesome

I have a querstion -- if Richard was touched by Jacob and therefore made immortal, why was Locke able to be killed? We still need this answer... Probably most of all as far as I am concerned.
