Lost *spoilers*

Today's building of the week - the Lighthouse!

Entertaining but annoying episode.

Who is David's mother?
probably Sarah, Jack's ex-wife

Who is coming to they island? How are they getting to the island now?
My guess is Widmore, but Jacob says that wasn't even the point of taking Jack to the lighthouse.

What are Jacob's plan for Jack?
He's a candidate to replace him.

What's going to happen to the temple?
Smoflockey in black is going to attack it.

Who is left there, Sayid?
and the others, but Ben, Elana, Richard, Frank, and Sun are headed there too.

I just realized something. Claire talks about her dad (Christian) and then her friend (Smoflocke) both telling her that the others took Aaron. I'm fairly confident now that Christian was Smoflocke.

I really wish they'd name him.

I remembered that Miles was also at the Temple along with Sayid. And all those people are heading there, too... Next week's episode better be about this attack they mentioned or another hour will have been wasted.

Also, the different headings in the Lighthouse... What if each different number/name represented a "what if" scenario. Different headings on a compass determines whether or not you reach the island. What if that is because you might be treading into the alt. reality where it doesn't exist? Now that Jack has fixated the tower to his setting, flash sideways we have been seeing will begin to tie into what is going on on the island. one can only hope.

woah, that's a trippy theory. I like it.

That to me is more compelling evidence against. She saw the smoke monster and new it wasn't locke. She knew it was the smokemonster. She still thought her dad was her dad.

That's what I thought, too. She made the distinction between the two guys.

I guess so, but i guess i figured that he used the form of her father to manipulate her before she was "claimed" and then once she was claimed he just revealed himself to her.

Both her father and her friend told her that the others had Aaron, Christian clearly knew that wasn't the truth, so he was lying.

Although, there have clearly been lots of apparitions on the island that weren't smokey so who knows.

That's the best post-Lost news I think I've heard. I did read this about a day or two ago and was thinking it'd be like Breaking Bad... The odd couple of crime, you know? I think it'd be a hit.

Funny story.

I was talking to a friend about the most recent episode and at some point in the conversation, she says, "How has Jack had a son all this time and we didn't know about it?"

Wait. So, how does Jack have a son? Has this been mentioned before? Is it a side effect of the alternate timeline?

I'm not being snarky. I'm genuinely curious. It's been a while. My Lost mythology isn't up to snuff at this point.

It's the side effect of the alternate timeline. There have been a number of small changes here and there. The time line isn't just "what if they never crashed" it's "what if the island was destroyed by a H bomb in 1977". Jack having a son, Hurley having good luck, Locke getting married to Helen, etc. all small changes in the timeline.

yeah, we find out that Jacob has been behind the scenes influencing the lives of the losties for years. So presumably the island being blown up removed Jacob's influence and their lives unfolded in slightly different ways.
