Heroes seasons 1 & 2 series discussion [spoilers]

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

This show is officially RETARDED.

1.) Monica willingly accepts a shot to the arm from a stranger. Despite the fact that she doesn't have to have it, it's stupid of her to not at least disagree with this kind of treatment... ESPECIALLY under such suspicious circumstances.

Indeed.

And the cheerleader mafia bull**** has been taken to comical levels of badness. It's bordering on post-season-4-Smallville-level stupidity now. Also, did anyone else think West was dressing unusually gay this episode?

Mr. Bennet's storyline was just sad. I loved how they completely turned him around last season and made him a true hero. It's one of my favourite character arcs in television(and no other character in this series, not one of them, has had any sort of arc at all yet, so this was their badge of good will). Now.... he's a cruel, heartless bastard again? That sucks. Maybe they're setting hi up for something, but damn.... it's just not fair to the audience.

No Nathan and his mom? No Parkman and his dad? Terrible greenscreening at the end(although I think the shot may have been taken from I Am Legend, I recognize the posters from the trailer)? Plots still moving along at a crawl?

I'm sorry, but I thought this was the weakest episode of the series.:(

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

When does Lost come on again? February? Can't come soon enough - entertaining television doesn't exist without it.

Do we really need to turn this thread into a Lost versus Heroes debate every other page? Is it really necessary?

I understand people not liking an episode or even the show, but this crap is seriously getting old.

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

I watched this episode with a friend who'd never seen it before. I was giving him backgrounds on characters and such and talked through most of it and almost gave myself a headache. But that's why I love the show so much.

He also seemed to dig it and I hope he watches next week.

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

I have offically started Heros. I finished the first two episodes.

It is interesting enough.

The bomb and the superpowered serial killer that steals people's brains is interesting enough.

I like middle-eastern doctor.

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

Really enjoyed this weeks episode. Bennett is just so damn hardcore, showing us again how he is willing to go to any lengths to stop the Company/protect his family.

Can't wait to see Sylar open up the twins skulls. I pray he does.....

Yep, I really liked the beginning

I'm glad we learn Sylar's motives now and he's still as ****ing crazy as ever

Sylar was the best part of what was otherwise the weakest episode of season two so far...

Totally. Monica was so close to joining the main plot but then she just went home. West reveals that he's bat**** insane and thinks he and Claire are superior to the flatscans but Claire doesn't catch on because it's subtle right now. And then Sylar comes in and washes all the pain away.

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

I agree, weak episode. My favorite part was when Evil Drunk Head Cheerleader, who is obviously the president of Cliche Land, told Claire that she had to be "Extra Ordinary" if she wanted to get into the squad. The only thing I could think of when she said that was, "Wow, so she doesn't doesn't just want Claire to be ordinary, she wants her to be really, really ordinary."

Other than that, Sylar and Bennett were the best parts. Although, at least now we're headed somewhere, as opposed to aimlessly wandering through a labyrinth of new characters, inane subplots, boring main plots, and those crappy, crappy twins.

My gf and i totally noticed that! I swear the actress just gave it a strange read and no one bothered to correct her. It didn't make any sense, and that's not how you pronounce it. Mohinder even said it correctly in the next scene.

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

You know what? The twins' storyline could be even more compressed than I originally thought. They should've started with Alejandro in jail and Maya breaking him out. Go with the characterizations they've got now of Alejandro being Maya's ***** ("We're not taking him with us!" "Yes we are!" And then he sulks) and Maya killing people. Then, after they've been hanging with Sylar and people have warmed up to them, they would start the flashbacks of Maya crying and Alejandro protecting her and what their life was like in South America.

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

Kinda. But I was still on too much of a high from the raping from Jewel Staite to care...

Oohhh, that sounds like a good time.

I. HATE. LOVE. TRIANGLES.

I hate them, hate them, hate them, hate them, hate them, hate them, hate them, hate them, hate them, hate them, hate them, hate them, hate them, hate them, hate them, hate them, I MOTHER ****ING HATE THEM!!!

So that girl you had a crush on all through high school chose the other guy, huh?

And if you try a "love triangle" with two women, there's no WAY you could hate that.

If its a love triangle involving you, a female, and another dude...just don't let him get behind you.

I like middle-eastern doctor.

Mohinder is from India...that isn't in the Middle East.

Even scarier, I can see into Ourchair's...imagine Michael Jackson's version of Heaven and you'll know what I'm talking about.

Not personal experience, but I've seen enough prison shower scenes to know the deal.

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

So the "Heroes: Origins'" spinoff has been cancelled in development stage.

Link for more news....
Development on Heroes: Origins has been halted by NBC, reports Variety. Announced last May, the Heroes spinoff was to be an anthology, with each episode centering on a brand new superpowered character in the Heroes universe. NBC had signed up several notable screenwriters -- including Kevin Smith (Clerks), John August (Go), Eli Roth (Hostel) and Michael Dougherty (X2) -- to write and in some cases also direct individual episodes of the show.

While NBC wasn't commenting, it's believed that fear of the potential writers strike is the main reason for Origins having the plug pulled. Variety was told by insiders that Origins wasn't completely dead and could possibly be revived down the line, including next season.
