Re: Heroes *Spoilers*
No. But I did notice the "godsend" 'S' helix thingy above the door...
Welcome Jello!
I agree. Peter pretty much counts as a new character. Plus, Monica is boring as hell.
Why the **** is she worried and/or upset with her powers? Why is it the writers seem incapable of doing another ****ing note with this?
Seriously - her power is "I can make tomatoes look like flowers".
At no point - ever - should she be SCARED.
Sure - she can be scared about the kickin a guy through glass thing - but she should also be like, "AWESOME. I CAN KICK MEN THROUGH GLASS."
She shouldn't go, "OH NO! I CAN PLAY THE PIANO! WHAT HORROR!"
She should go, "I know kung fu."
She has THE MATRIX power. It is cool. Not scary.
It's mega-annoying because what else is happening this season? There's a new 'hero' - a young, attractive, non-white woman... who's scared of her powers. Her power?
She kills everyone with a virulent plague that makes you bleed black ooze out of your eyes and she can't control it. It happens if she's apart from her brother for more than 5 minutes.
THAT IS SCARY.
It would've been a cool counterpoint if one hero is racked with guilt, tortured by her plague power and the other hero is elated, because she can finally do what she's always wanted and become a famous superstar with her awesome powers that allow her to do anything without practice.

I hate it when writers just get lazy.
Speaking of lazy - Veronica Mars.
"Why would they send a wee lass like you to take on Peter, I'm Irish doncha know?"
Then Mars electros the wall and says, "I can take care of myself."
What would have been cooler: MacIrish Man (who I like by the way) says, "Why send you?" and Mars just walks towards the camera (like Nightmare-Man) smiling evily (it's a cool motif to have in one episode). She doesn't do anything, she just walks.
The scene with the other cool Irish guy (he was great - I wish Peter had been gay so the love affair was with him and he survived), he says, "No I've not seen Peter, t'be sure" and Veronica Mars walks up to the door and locks it. That's all we see.
Next time we see her, she's on the phone and she just goes, "I killed him, sorry daddy" all casually (like the actress did - and it was a great moment).
Then, when Caitlin rushes to see her brother, we see the charred corpse.
And we have no ****ing clue how she did it. Result? Mars is psycho-scary. Much cooler than, "She has electro-powers".
It irks me because it's one of those times where it would've been COOL to have a mystery, as opposed to being annoying which is what this whole amnesia thing is.
Also, us NOT knowing her powers would be cooler because she's fighting Peter - and the big problem with Peter is his powers suck... all drama. When he finally meets Veronica Mars, he can electrokill people. *sigh* This is why they can't ever make a powerful villain for him; he immediately becomes as powerful as they are. He's so ****ing annoying. I like the character and the actor - but his powers suck. At least us not knowing Mars' powers would allow us to momentarily forget how absurdly nonthreatening she is to Peter.
Hiro's story was boring. Absolutely nothing happened. But somehow, I enjoyed it - and that's solely because Hiro and Ando could read the phonebook and it would be the best TV this week.
So this episode - I liked the Nightmare-Man and the Company stuff with Mohinder and Niki. Everything else was tosh.
Crappy, boring episode which wasted lots of time when it could've been an exhilarating nightmare ride - for example, this would've been the perfect moment to fully reveal just what the hell is going on with Nathan. Right here - in the nightmare world. Instead... we get a longer version of him looking in the mirror.
For an episode called "Fight or Flight" the writers managed to an episode which could only be titled, "Stand Still and Wait".
Boo!
That said - Veronica Mars is electrocute.
I really liked her.
Did anyone notice in the painting Peter did, near where Caitlin pointed out Peter and herself, there seemed to be a figure that looked kinda like Sylar watching them..?
No. But I did notice the "godsend" 'S' helix thingy above the door...
Wait until the character 'David Currie' or should I say 'Davina Currie' starts his/her run - talk about confusing sexual identity.
Welcome Jello!
I think Heroes needs a new rule for new characters.
They get one episode to introduce themselves and then they don't get a B-plot. If they're not advancing the older, more interesting characters or being introduced, then they shouldn't be a major part of the episode. We can maybe get a few scenes to check in, but their status quo isn't going to change until they meet the main characters so they shouldn't be taking up time.
The already-established main characters and conflicts are already competing with each other for time and the newcomers are going to have to put up a better show if they don't want people to resent their existence. Luckily, it looks like this problem is getting solved with Mohinder meeting Monica and Sylar about to eat the boring twins' brains.
