Heroes seasons 1 & 2 series discussion [spoilers]

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

Ok.

Ok.

Ok.

I haven't read the spoilers.

And it's really, really, hard for me not to.

I need to know - do the spoilers actually say specifically what will happen in the plot? Or are they more, "The actor who plays Sylar has signed a contract for season 2."

I don't mind spoiling if actor X is in season Y, or if we get vague things like, "Sylar eats another brain". I don't want to spoil, "Molly Walker's power is death-fu and she touches Sylar, who explodes, and then kills Nathan, whilst summoning evil-bionic Mohinder from 2030ad and his armada of Jet Puppies."

I'm really tempted to read those spoilers.

Darkspider - you have made a powerful enemy today, old chum.

Truly, it does not spoil anything big. Both are from a longer article from Entertainment weekly. I read the whole thing. It's not big, in only that it just gives more talk about the show's process. I found it a fun read. It's more of the "The actor who plays Sylar has signed a contract for season 2."
But they don't even confirm if they do. Alot is about Kring talking about the very vague and general idea for this season, and the ones to come. No big plot spoilers at all.

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

i just read them, and honestly, had I posted them, i might not have even used spoiler marks.

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

I will not be tempted to read spoilers. I will not.

I don't care what they reveal, I am going to wait for the new episode.

Assurances that Hiro will live are great, but if by any chance what so ever he does die; I am going to cry. Cry like a little girl.

I thought about that, but figured for the sake of those who don't want to know all that, I did it.

Of course, it leads to a huge deal with everyone thinking I posted the final scene of the season. I didn't. Just making that clear.

I refuse to watch any preview clips that are shon on youtube. I don't want to see the scene at all.

I just read your spoilers, and although it's not surprising that Ando ends up killing Hiro, I can't believe they would make Nikki turn out to be Peter and Nathan's sister, especially after she boned them both. Although it hasn't happened with Peter yet.

And who could have guessed Isaac and Simone would come back as ghost detectives?

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

I tried glimpse the vague bits in your spoilers, the intrigueing (sp?) bit is that "volume 2" is to be entitled Generations...like are they changing the title to heroes: generations...or just generations.
I really want a serial drama to do a sequel/spin-off with seperate characters set in the same universe. Like I heard originally 24 series 2 was gonna be a different set of people doing something different..but still connected to the CTU plot on that very same day....just jack bauer got too popular for that route.
I think this is a good idea as it continues the story which fans will want, but will also be different characters and different stories so newbies can jump on. and the crossover bits will make sense and be self contained in their own series but will be cool little easter eggs for people who watch the previous series. (I guess like buffy and angel)

I guess this is an idea a lot of comics use, but is also like those multi-linear segmented anthology films like magnolia or pulp fiction or whatever. Imagine like pulp fiction but the 3 segments were 3 seasons and had more overlap. As long as people still remembered to write a good story and not just good continuity this could be awsome.

Is it just me or is it kind of strange that we watch shows where crappy drama like this is believeable, yet the show as a whole is excellent.

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

Anybody watch the episodes with commentary? I'm watching Five Years Gone now. Pretty neat, but so far just actors, nobody with any real insight into the workings of the show.

Thanks guys. I've read the spoilers and am now calm once more.

It also means that a clip in the trailer for 21 that made me **** my pants might have been an outtake...

No, each season is considered a volume. Season Two is titled Volume Two: Generartions.

I aslo think it's cool that they are doing two arcs within the second season, at least that's what I read. Instead of one huge overlapping arc, we get two, that are possibly tied into each other. I also read that season 3 is going to be continous, with no huge breaks in between sweeps.

Is eating people's brains and gaining their powers a special ability only Sylar has, or would it work for anyone? Like, could Claire eat Hiro's brain and gain the ability to stop time?

Yeah, I think that's really good. Give us a nice breather after a 23-part uber-story. Kinda like Murder One. Anyone remember that? The first season is a single 24-part story detailing a lengthy murder trial, where as the second season has two (or was it three?) murder trials that play out during the season.

I think the brain thing anyone could do if they understood how the powers worked. Sylar's original power is that he knows how powers work, which is why he is not only able to remove the power from someone's brain, but add it to his own and immediately be able to use it with greater effect than the original bearer of the power.

Heroes volume 1: Hiro's Magical Ticking Trip Through Time And Space

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

Wow, this was quite the episode for character development.

Nathan's mom is the most hard core ***** on the show.

When I think about the last two episodes, I'm as gitty as a school girl.

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

Summary for those of us waiting for TV Links to pick up the episode?

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

The episode primarily follows Hiro, Ando, and Sylar, and the Petrellis

It begins with Hiro and Ando arriving back in present day New York. They decide to go to Isaac's studio to get his help deciphering the events of the future. They arrive to the find a brainless Isaac and hide from Sylar. Sylar paints the explosion in New York, and thinks that it's him that explodes. Sylar is guilt ridden at the prospect of killing millions of innocent people. He decides that he needs to talk with his mother. Hiro and Ando follow him. He arrives at his mother's apartment in Queens, and we discover that she believed him to be traveling the world. She's an over bearing, pressuring mother that wants him to achieve great things. She thinks he can be anything, even president. He reveals his powers to his mother, and she freaks out. They get into a struggle, and his mother ends up getting stabbed with a pair of scissors. At this moment, Hiro freezes time and draws his sword on Sylar. As he's preparing to draw his sword, Sylar grabs the blade and freezes it. Ando runs in, and Hiro teleports away to find that the sword is broken. Time unfreezes and Sylar paints on the floor with his mother's blood and says, "You were right… I can be anything, even President."

Meanwhile, Mohinder helps Molly, who is in the custody of the Company. We find out that her power is to locate anyone in the world by thinking of them. She needs Mohinder's help because she has the same genetic disorder that killed Mohinder's sister. Mohinder helps her by realizing that antibodies that would have saved his sister were present in his own blood.

Also meanwhile, Jessica and DL try and find Mikah without any luck. Mikah figures out that Candice isn't his mom, but can't escape her illusions.

Peter and Claire talk about how they're going to stop the explosion. Peter finds out about Ted and thinks he might be the source of the explosion. Peter also gives Claire a gun and tells her that if he starts to go nuclear that she has to shot him in the head and stop him from exploding. Nathan spends most of the episode being pressured into letting Peter explode, including by his mother. The episode ends with Peter meeting Ted, Matt, and HRG in New York. Once Peter is around Ted he starts irradiating uncontrollably….
