Heroes seasons 1 & 2 series discussion [spoilers]

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

Great episode. Ever since "Company Man", this series has been golden. Too bad the beginning was so uninteresting.

Also, where did you hear that next week was 2 hours? I thought it was only one.

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

I doubt Linderman's dead. He has that healing power for a reason, people.

Freakin' noobs.

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

PLUS!

Linderman lost his BRAIN. His power is in his BRAIN. How do you kill Claire (and Peter)? IN THE BRAIN.

I think he's dead. :(

I was wondering that myself. If that's true... that's good news. I just don't see how they can really cap off the season in one hour (with commercials, especially).

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

Since the people who raided the company base in NYC have been unaffected by Hiro's trip to the future, we have to assume that this is pretty much what happened in that past. Basically, it seems to me, it comes to light that, on top of the bomb going off, Linderman, Petrelli's chief supporter, was murdered by two of the super-powered freaks, thus initiating "The Linderman Act" in order to protect people from the savage, dangerous freaks.

Very cool.

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

I don't think Linderman's dead. It doesn't matter if it's in the brain or in the freaking foot; I seriously doubt they'd kill off the character like that.

I want to believe that...

Yes. See, the writers can't have the future change without Hiro's direct involvement. So yes, I think everything is happening as before, except where Hiro's concerned. And I think Hiro's yelling at Nathan that he's a villain will be enough to push him to making a heroic sacrifice and change the future.

I remember reading that the season finale was two hours long, but.....I'll have to look again and get back to you.

EDIT: Sorry. I really thought it'd be two hours, but it isn't. Still only a one hour finale...

I don't think Linderman's dead. It doesn't matter if it's in the brain or in the freaking foot; I seriously doubt they'd kill off the character like that.

You have to think though, the first season was all about Linderman's plan to 'heal the world'. Kring has constantly said that Season 2 is Volume 2, thus meaning a whole new story. I mean, if they let Linderman live, he'd try the same thing over again. How many times do you want to see DC go in smoke? Or Chicago? Or Philly? Or Tokyo? Killing off Linderman is definetly needed.

Also, I read that we'll learn exactly what the Companies mission was. They've killed Thompson and Linderman, and Bennet is now an angel. The Company, as we know it, is pretty much gone. No doubt their presence will still be felt, though.

I think the Company was the original group.....but Nakamura(Hiro's dad), Claude and a few others went rouge...

REALLY?!?!?!?

Phew. I didn't think I could take 2-hours of Heroes. I'd be a wreck 30 minutes in.

Well the Company, I think, worked like this - there was a bunch of supers who all want to do something with the world and can't agree on how to do it. I think the Company, the purpose of which is to find, catalogue, recruit, and exterminate other supers was a truce thing. The idea was the Company was built by all of them and was neutral. Any new super discovered all the supers would know about and have access to. Which is why someone like Nakamura who is obviously against Linderman are both involved in the Company, and why keeping certain supers secret from the Company would be done (for example, Mama Petrelli probably doesn't want Nakamura or Linderman to know about Claire, and perhaps why the Company never went after Hiro).

I might be wrong, but I think it was that. Kinda like the Minutemen in 100 Bullets.

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

Word.

I really hope that Micah doesn't get killed, if only so he and Hiro can geek out together over the first-edition comics Candice got him.

Just thinking about the potential that that scene you just described has...is arousing me.

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

Very true. Heroes is by far the best show since Angel, and I've watched LOST since the first season.

I watched the first few episodes of Lost then got bored. Angel (along with Buffy) was one of my favourite shows of all time. Heroes is the only show I can put on a par with BtVS and AtS .

I'm sick of people thinking Heroes is flawless.

Its not flawless, all shows have their weaknesses. I mean as I said I am an obsessive BtVS fanatic, but season 4 was complete tosh (apart from Hush).
Heroes is not flawless, but it IS an awesome show.

It's not flawless. For example, the time travel in the Charlie plot made no sense. There are assorted problems. It's just better than Lost.

Do you watch Lost?
