Heroes seasons 1 & 2 series discussion [spoilers]

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

Nathan Petrelli is awesome.

To describe him just as a character who could fly but chooses not to is a great injustice. Nathan is a many-layered character. At first, he was morally ambiguous and slightly sinister, but over time he was shown to be a truly noble man who let even his own brother think he was turning to the dark side, all to help the police nail an incredibly powerful crime boss. Nathan is tangled in a web of lies and hidden connections, but he still tries to do the right thing, even when it hurts him. He juggles a political career, a wife, young children, a brother who is quickly growing powerful and possibly going insane, trying to capture Linderman, handling his own flight and the guilt it causes him, as well as being a major player in the massive conspiracy unraveling around the heroes.

Now, it seems like Nathan is going down a darker path. He was caught in an impossible situation, forced to choose between killing Linderman and joining him, at least temporarily. Listen to Linderman's monologue about happy lives and meaningful lives. Some people can have both, but it seems like it describes Nathan perfectly. Nathan is awesome, his storyline is dark and complicated and causes more interaction with Linderman (who owned his first appearance), and the actor is perfect for the role.

I love the "path" they are taking with Nathan, he was just boring in the beggining for me, he is much more cooler now. But the best character for me is Mr. Bennet, he was already awesome since the beggining, but after that episode with him... man, he is my favorite...

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

Okay, I'm not reading this thread yet, but I watched the first four episodes online and I think it's pretty good so far.

It seems like Hiro is everybody's favorite and I can totally see why, but I think I like the cop best.

I really think the voiceover is ridiculous.

But Ali Larter is easy on the eyes.

Anyway, that's all. Hopefully I'll catch up soon. And hopefully I'll get TV so I don't have to rely on the internet for my shows.

Invisible English guy is an interesting and multilayered character as well.

And he beats the crap out of Peter with a stick.

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

So, I haven't looked up much about Heroes for a while, but I have heard a few things:

Simone has a power....which is lame. I hope that's false.

Linderman has a power. It's pretty much confirmed, and in Episode 19, we'll get to see it.
He has the ability to heal things. The comics show how Linderman and the Pertrellis' father meet in Vietnam.

Supposedly, Peter dies....

And in the episode that's 5 years in the future, the whole world knows about people with powers...and wants them all dead, or at least rounded up. And guess what? The President of the US is working on his final plan to end this.....and who's the President....my bet is Nathan....one other thing, we see in the preview Nathan and Mohinder talking...and Mohinder says genocide isn't the answer......Nathan, a powered himself, wants to kill all the others?

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

I just watched episode 9, Homecoming.

Oh my God, that might be the most intense thing I've ever seen on TV.

I love this show (so far).

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

I loved Homecoming. It was probably the first Major Episode in the series, and was so, so very good.... just wait until Company Man and Parasite...

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

Okay, I don't understand. I just watched Six Months Ago and Charlie dies of a blood clot in her brain?

So Sylar didn't kill her then? But how come she was alive six months later for him to kill her the first time?

I'm so confused.

I think Hiro created another alternate future when she was alive, but unfortunetly died anyway.
Sylar killed her, but it wasn't the same one that died from that brain blood cot.

I'm watching the following episode now when Hiro's talking to Isaac and they say that Sylar still killed her.

But if an alternate reality thing, why is Hiro in that picture with her? Wouldn't that imply that the reality he created is the same one he jumped back into?

I am a devoted fan of Heroes. It's my favorite series right now, possibly my favorite series ever, I love the actors, I can't wait to see what happens, I own a "Nathan Petrelli for Congress!" shirt, and I must admit that that sequence made absolutely no ****ing sense. It just gave Hiro a heartbreaking defeat which hasn't had as much of an effect on him as I hoped it would.

Edit: I mixed up the Petrelli sibs. *commits seppuku*

Yeah, plus how long was Ando hanging out in that coffee shop? Days? If Hiro had to travel back from Japan. . .

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

I just watched episode 15. I still don't get why everyone is in love with this show.

I felt the same way, Project. I just couldn't find a reason to keep watching (even though I still did).... until the Where-Did-This-Come-From? quality that was the 17th and 18th episodes. :D

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

It looks like we are in for a hell of an episode tonight.... avoiding any specific spoilers from the review on AICN. General vague spoilers ahead

Two main characters are taking a dirt nap by the end of the show....
Lots of Petrelli family history...

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

Think the budget has been brought up for the last coupla episodes with all the fast-zoom camera stuff going on. The episode in the house was awsome.

When it starts again tonight does it go to series conclusion or will there be another break? I think there are only 6/7 episodes left so I will be angry if there's another break.

Also do people think the series will end with a cliffhanger like other serial dramas lost/prison break or will all threads be tied up (near enough) like 24. Like they stop the explosion and it's got a moderately happy ending..but people will still watch season 2 because it's so kick-***?

Re: Heroes *Spoilers*

Stan Lee!

When does today's episode get posted online? After tonight I'll be otherwise caught up. . .

EDIT: Holy crap! I just finished Parasite!

They better have Monday's episode up soon.
