Re: Heroes *Spoilers*
Nathan Petrelli is awesome.
To describe him just as a character who could fly but chooses not to is a great injustice. Nathan is a many-layered character. At first, he was morally ambiguous and slightly sinister, but over time he was shown to be a truly noble man who let even his own brother think he was turning to the dark side, all to help the police nail an incredibly powerful crime boss. Nathan is tangled in a web of lies and hidden connections, but he still tries to do the right thing, even when it hurts him. He juggles a political career, a wife, young children, a brother who is quickly growing powerful and possibly going insane, trying to capture Linderman, handling his own flight and the guilt it causes him, as well as being a major player in the massive conspiracy unraveling around the heroes.
Now, it seems like Nathan is going down a darker path. He was caught in an impossible situation, forced to choose between killing Linderman and joining him, at least temporarily. Listen to Linderman's monologue about happy lives and meaningful lives. Some people can have both, but it seems like it describes Nathan perfectly. Nathan is awesome, his storyline is dark and complicated and causes more interaction with Linderman (who owned his first appearance), and the actor is perfect for the role.
