Just read the first trade of Jack of Fables and really enjoyed. I love the nod to the Prisoner at the end of the story, as I too, thought this is where the series was going.

Lots of fun, I thought.

I read the first trade as well, and Goldilocks is nothing but pure cheesecake.

Tis awesome.

I love how Jack completely screwed up the guy's plans. And when Paul Bunyon got caught, all he said was Balls.

It was a fun read, though I have no idea who Sam was suppose to represent.

The new issue was pure fun. I really loved all the off the wall questions and perfect answers.

I can't help but noticing that every scene with Beauty that Sarah Michelle Gellar (as suggested by Doc) could play her perfectly.

I love the answer to what Frau is knitting.

There is way too much to summerize.

Basically, I think that he took a bunch of random questions that fans had from the first 50-something issues and answered them in different panels with different artists.

Like for example,

"Who caught the bontique at Snow's wedding?"

"What is Frau Totenkinder always knitting?"

"How are the new little pigs reacting to being the new little pigs?"

It was great.

You'll be disappointed. It doesn't get going until the second/third TPB, so you'll probably forget about it after the first arc (like Captain America and The Authority).

I disagree. I like it a lot more than Bigby at war, Jack in Hollywood and probably Rodeny and June. I wasn't too high on the Allred issues either.

Sorry, when I said arc I meant the trades (that's how I read Fables), in terms of story arc, I agree there are weaker ones.

Well I recently read Jack of the Fables vol. 1, and I liked it. It's not as good as the main series, but it's fun, and probably better collected in trades. I personally thought the sequence where Goldilocks describing what happened to her after she got axed by Snow was pretty funny.
