Just read #92 today.

I kind of had mixed feelings...Everything fits and makes sense, but it feels like everything is being concluded too soon. One thing I liked about Bendis's run is how long things dragged out...for the most part, the major plot points ran over several arcs (or throughout his entire run). I would have liked things to take longer...who knows, maybe they still will. But I liked the idea of 2 Daredevils and Matt being on the run while still feeling compelled to do the DD thing.

That said, it was handled well...Vanessa is ruthless and obviously powerful. Her motives and plan were well conceived and well written. The "suicide" of the FBI director was very good.

I just feel like it is too convenient; too soon, too easy.

Still, 4/5.

Nothing will ever come close to the "Saga" that Bendis created. Unfortunately creator's don't work like that. They move from story to story. I think Brubaker's doing a decent job at it so far though. I don't think this story's as over as we think.

Did the last issue just restore everything back to normal? I'm not sure if I like it...

Sure does seem like it.

I'm not sure how I feel about it either. On one hand how long could they really keep that going? On the other hand, it was too integral to DD for the past few years to wrap up so quickly. It wasn't a bad story at all...just...too fast. Too many things settled in too short a time.

I didn't get it yet :? And I didn't get a chance to get to a comic shop today.

It's kinda hard to explain... but Matt gets back to New York City, where he meets up with his friends, and even finds Foggy. Later on, he defends Wilson Fisk, who later leaves the country to mourn his dead wife.

At the end, the chick who was manipulating him is on a plane, I think.

I'm not sure about it.

The chick manipulating him? You mean Lily or Vanessa? Sounds kind of weak.

EDIT: Then again they're ravving about it over at MWoF.com

Lily. Sorry, I couldn't remember her name.

Yeah, I think I'm going to have to reread this arc. It's like this issue just made everything go back to normal... too sudden, too quickly.

Not everything, kingpin is out of the picture, that is a major change for DD.

Besides I think Matt deserves some happiness, so I think it is good the arc ended on a happy note.

Kingpin just left the country. He didn't die. If anything he's out of prison and that puts him in a better position to attack Matt than if he was in prison. On another note it looks like Lily could be "the girl from Matt's past" in the april issue... pity...

He gave up his citizenship and is a broken man, I doubt we will see him any time soon.

Don't be sure.

The point is that he's out there and not in prison. It doesn't matter where he is. Didn't he come back during Bendis's run after an extended stay in Europe?

The difference between now and the Bendis run is Kingpin is now a completely broken man and has lost his citizenship. I think for the time being Fisk has his will to fight and has realized his criminal career has brought him nothing but pain and sorrow in the long run. if Fisk is going to be a villain again in the future, it will take time for Fisk to regain his will, for now, he is completely broken, beaten and defeated and his spirit is completely crushed. that's not going to change anytime soon.

OK, but he's still free. The opportunity is still there, no matter how long he does or doesn't take to seize it. And he will. He's the Kingpin.

Take time for Wilson Fisk to become a criminal again. We're talking about the most ruthless non superpowered criminal in the game. I haven't read the issue but this sounds like a gross mischaracterization of the character.

Kingpin is ruthless, not insane. What's the point of him contiuing his criminal career when it has cost him everything in the long run, almost all of his money is gone and his wife and son are dead. I mean what's the point of Fisk being a criminal if all it has done is bring him pain and sorrow in the long run?

Fisk is consideribely more sane than Green Goblin or Bullseye, I'm not sure he can live off hate alone like they do. I don't think it is a mischaracterization for Kingpin, its character development. Kingpin is sane and its only logical that he should question the rationality of his criminal career at this point. Besides the cycle of Kingpin being overthrown and then rebuilding his empire is becomming real stale at this point.

Well, Kingpin did say he was going to get out and make Matt suffer, or get revenge on him or something. Then Matt gave a speech about honoring Vanessa or blah blah blah, but Kingpin never renegged on punishing Matt. He probably still really, really wants to.
