Damn, you guys walked right into this...

Ice, why are you posting old pictures that we've already seen before? They're not funny, and it's getting annoying.

I still think Brubaker's first arc is the best Daredevil arc.

Ever?... I can't read where Bru's at without considering where Bendis took him...

And of course, neither would be anything without Frank Miller. He made some really good comics back then. Too bad he forgot how to do it.

I really liked Karl Kesel's DD, but he only did a year on the book. Stan Lee was great his last couple years on the title, before issue 50.

I just got guardian devil in the mail. and the next two volumes are here but i finished this one. It was awesome. I almost cried when karen died. hehe that rhymes, but no time to laugh. I'm gonna get quizzed in a little while.

EDIT: 2,600!!!!

Best Daredevil is Miller's "Born Again", by FAR.

Doot.

I still don't see how Miller got away with all of his crazy Japan-fetish Ninja stuff.

By the way, I didn't like the new issue as much as the others. Not bad, but not great either. I'm getting tired of Milla...I never really liked her anyway.

Yeah, the last issue was kind of a waste, I thought. It was just a recap only made necessary by how poor Milla's been characterized up until this point.

Born Again is freakin' epic. It rules.

Guardian Devil was terrible, however.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Stan Lee's Daredevil from about 30-50, with Gene Colan, is the bomb.

Karl Kesel's DD was also very good.

Alright, this issue was alright, but it still feels weak after the awesome stories this title has had. Now we've got this stuff out of the way, hopefully Brubaker will bring the greatness back with the next arc.

Agreed. It wasn't a horrible issue, in fact, it was pretty good as a standalone and did a good job of bringing Milla back into the picture. But it *is* weak compared to the last couple years of DD stories.

Between this and the end of "The Devil Takes a Ride"...I'm a little worried about the direction of this book.

Yeah, Brubaker's first arc kicked *** and "The Devil Takes A Ride" was very intriguing until the end... hopefully the next arc will be awesome though. The Gladiator!

I'm sure Milla's going to play a huge role in Brubaker's run. It seems like it. So this issue was an absolute necessity since she was such an undeveloped cypher. It's pure set-up and I have to believe it's going to pay off one way or another.

Now, if they get divorced and we never see Milla again it will be a total waste.

Woah!! Where'd I miss the part when you said Devil Takes a Ride ended on a bad note?

He didn't like how everything from the last few years sort of wrapped up... I didn't either. No matter what Brubaker says, it still felt like a move backwards.

Yeah...it was just too rushed. Story-wise it wasn't bad, but the pacing had been really good up to that point, and it just seemed like he rushed in closing off every existing plot line.

I guess. I don't know I enjoyed it. I'm still waiting to see if he keeps his word about the genie though...

I read #94 today.

Standard Milla whiney B.S. Wasn't too bad though. I think it definitely distinguishes her motives from the other Daredevil Love Interests. That was one of my main problems with Milla in the first place. She was just another broad. (Oh wait. She was different. She was a blind broad  ) Anyway, the issue made her someone likeable but it wasn't great and it just seems like they're not gonna last anyway. So not being a fan of the character, I pretty much feel like I lost an entire month of Daredevil.

Although it was nice to see how he's sort of working around Civil War, where the locals have a better personal relationship. Then again... does it even matter? Matt's identity is already known by SHIELD. And didn't Civil War state that only the government would know anyway?
