Gaurdian Devil

Yep - Guardian Devil is the first TPB. There are 13 altogether. That covers Bendis's entire run and then some.

The first TPB of Brubaker's run will be out in a couple months.

Here's the outline for DD# 91. Careful now, there are spoilers ahead:

DAREDEVIL #91

Written by Ed Brubaker, penciled by Michael Lark, cover by Lee Bermejo.

"The Devil Takes a Rider," part 3 of 5. Daredevil finally gets close to the answers he seeks, but before he finds out the truth, he¹ll have to face down two villains both out for his blood -- Tombstone and the all-new, all-different Matdaor.

I always like Tombstone, even though it looks like DD is borrowing from Spidey's rogues gallery again.

I wonder if Brubaker can do the impossible and make Matador cool.

#88 was alright. Since it's all about Foggy I really couldn't get into it. Nice and character driven.....but still.... :?

It's like those few episodes of the Sopranos when Tony was in a coma. The show was damn good---but it just felt off.

I liked it. The part I liked best was that I worried when we first started reading about this "secret life" that it was that Foggy - the most normal guy in comics, just about - had this weird dual identity thing, and it totally wouldn't fit. I'm glad it's "just" him being taken into protective custody.

Also thought it was cool that Elektra is watching out for him.

It's funny, but right now I think this is just about the only book that can pull off an entire issue without the main character.

Good Foggy issue. Like E said I'm glad it didn't make Foggy Agent of SHIELD or a ninja or something stupid.

Honestly the issue read plain and smooth like I could've brushed it off up until...

The Hand.

****in' ninjas in Daredevil always get me. I know it sounds corny but very cool.

Nice little one shot.

re: #89

Awesome issue. I need to re-read it, but I did go through it once. Matt is in Monaco trying to get into Alton Lennox's inner circle, playing poker in the casino and raking in huge amounts of money (he can't be bluffed, ya know). He does, gets involved with a girl, and then we find out someone's (Lennox?) been pulling his strings the whole time, right down to having the girl wear Karen Page's old perfume to throw him off.

Okay, so I got HC V6 yesterday. The Murdock Papers was excellent, but I have to take issue with Wake Up. Not the art, wich was spectuatularly moody thanks to Mack, nor the action of Daredevil taking the back seat. I've found that using the main character as an off camera influence can be alot more effecitve than having him right up front. I wish the Bat offices would get that note. No, my problem is with Leapfrog. Why Leapfrog? Because there was a tangled web of Spider-Man with Leapfrog. In it he was a single dad trying to make good with his teenage son, who at the end grabbed the spring footed gear to try and mess with some bastards. Was it a great issue? Nope. But it was decent, and like all of the Tangled Web issues gave me a nice smile at the end. Except for the Kingpin issue. That made me grin maliciously.

Still, I guess my point it that Leapfrog doesn't gel. Not only is he killed here, with a diffrent family, and a diffrent temperment, but the sproingy bastard comes back. I'm frigign positive he's one of the killed and resurected villians from Millars Wolverine run. I'll check it later, but I know they atleast mention him.

Brubakers latest issue is frigign brillient. I loved the nightmare at the beging. Its perfect.

I am so in love with this book. Not like "I wanna marry it" in love---but I'd have no problem if it wanted to move in with me and change the bedroom furniture.

The Matador was awesome.

The Frog-men (whoever it may be) seems to be explained throughout handbooks and whatnot so I'm cool with it.

As for current news... everyone seems to be raving about how awesome "lame" Matador is in this. I can't wait to get my eyes on this.
