Yeah, but the 616 comics for Daredevil and Punisher are both damn good and almost completly continuity free. If you start reading Daredevil at the begning of Bendis's run you'll have no problems with it. Punisher MAX might as well be an Ultimate title with very little connections to the rest of the marvel universe atall. I can't really speak for The Hulk as I don't read it, and Blade can't even carry a normal ongoing, so I doubt they'll give him the fifth Ultimate.

Never read either 616 comics of Daredevil and Punisher. But i did like punisher movies (thats right i liked them both) and his apearence in spider-man cartoon during the man-spider/mutation story. plus his other spidey cameos/team ups i read my fave been what if punisher killed spider-man.

Daredevil i never liked anything of him other than movie.

If you're of age pick up a Punisher MAX trade. You won't regret it.

MwoF you will be happy to know that I picked up the first 2 Daredevil TPBs this past weekend. I finished the Kevin Smith one and loved it even though it was kind of weird
having Mysterio as the villain
. Loved it though. The Mack story is pretty good; I'm only a few issues into it.

One thing about Daredevil that I've noticed more than any other character is that the people that write him really love the character and cast; there's a reverence there that I've never seen in any other comic. Some people don't care about that, but for me it makes it a more enjoyable read.

I plan on slowly picking up the rest of the TPBs and continuing to do so.

Damn glad to hear it.

I remember when I first started and my LCS owner was tellin' me how good Smith's run was and how good Mack's run was and then he told me it would only get better. Wait until you get to the Bendis run and the "Out Saga", if you really enjoyed the first parts of volume 2, you'll be asking to borrow my red leather soon enough.

I'm pysched for you.

Now where's my Daredevil Forum?

Heh heh heh...

I finished Vol. 2 today (Echo). It was also very good. Not as good as the first, but good nonetheless. Fisk is blind - wasn't expecting that.

I like Echo - she's a cool character. Still not thrilled that she was the hype behind Ronin, but that's not a problem with her as a character.

Now I need to pick up everything from Vol. 3 onward, and from what you guys have been saying that's the really good stuff.

I'm going to have to wait forever and a day to get Brubakers run in HC...

Pick up the single issues. They're the best DD issues I've ever read.

I have the first two, and they're god damned excellent, but I hate re-buying comics that I already have, and the oversized hardcovers are just so nice...

...

...****, I'm going to end up buying it in singles and the HC for a reader copy, aren't I?

The Daredevil Volume 1 HC New Printing (JUN062032D, $34.99; FOC 07/27/06) will also contain Daredevil #1/2 (17 pages written by Kevin Smith and illustrated by various artists), making it a 392-page title, not 376 as solicited.
---Shipping Update List

Now that UG is over I'm really thinking of adding this to the comics I get.
