Countdown Series Discussion (SPOILERS!)

I got behind on this when I went on holiday for a month, and by the time I got back to reading comics found I had like 2 issues of JSA...which meant I had like 8/9 issues of Countdown. uggh, I think the last one I read piper and trickster were falling out of a plane. Has this picked up any? Is anyone still reading it?
 
Still reading it, but it feels like homework. it's picked up a little, but not much.

You're not the only, instead of writing her as a potentially dangerous new villain, she's a spoiled little brat.
 
Did anyone else notice the typo in this issue? On the next to last panel of the second page of the jimmy olsen section?

"I've been to Cadmus beofre, so why were you tailing me?"
 
You mean you've never seen the word Beofre before? its a commonly enough used word. I think Shakespeare invented it.
 
I think Countdown has lots of solid ideas, but it's the execution that is off.

I think it really is the writing. The dialogue is just bad.


But I love the idea of the Challengers of the Unknown searching for Ray Palmer and the Mary Marvel with Black Adam's powers.



I read the first Search For Ray Palmer issue with them in the Wildstorm universe.

It was pretty good.


And the first issue of Countdown to Mystery was even better.


And the DC universe is starting to have the same feel it had with all the build-up to Infinite Crisis.

The Death of The New Gods & Salvation Run has me interested.

In Birds Of Prey...

Knockout was killed.

And in Checkmate..

Savant was mourning over her and was captured. Offered to join the new Suicide Squad. She denied and set to the location, which I guess is what will be in Salvation's run.
 
The Challengers of the Unknown might be going to the Watchmen universe. Yeah.
