Bryan Singer on Ultimate X-Men.

Well, I thought they held off Vaughan and Peterson on UXM for a little too long, however, it turned out to be all right. I was a little apprehensive at first, the shock value of kicking Finch off the title was a little too much, but I got over that fast. I imagine the same thing happening with Singer and whoever this artist is.

The art makes a massive amount of difference to me. It's down to the artist to do all the acting and dynamics of the characters, as an essential part of the storytelling as the story itself, whether a character looks cool, and expresses themselves in a cool way matters to what is being told.
And although I like the art of the X-men currently, I find it a little too light, though probably more suited to the tv themed arc of current than anything that has gone before.
So really, if they team singer up with a really top notch artist that can give thematic feedback too, them I think the run can't go far wrong. I do just hope that singer stays grounded on the project and feels part of it, rather than it being part of himself.

Does anybody remember when his run is supposed to hit the shelfs?

Bryan Singer only on for an arc?

I was reading through all of this Philly stuff, and I thought I read that Quesada has confirmed only an arc's worth out of director Bryan Singer. I didn't think that a busy many like Singer could actually bear to write a year's worth of comics... Perhaps the comic Gods have praised us and we're only going to get six issues tops.

What if

It could be that the entire year is going to be one mega arc. I'm asking BKV if he knows how many issues singer has planned since he was helping them out getting adjusted.

I remember reading that he was on for a year. 12 issues.

Jeez, I hope this is true. :)

Yeah, so here's for wishful thinking, right? I really hope that he's not doing the 12-issue arc deal that someone said above. That would be a hideous Wolverine-fest that wouldn't blow over too well. I want Vaughan to keep trucking on this one!

That whole thing could have meant maybe his first arc. Although I see what you're saying GW, I don't think he's staying on just for one arc. Remember how Quesada can sometimes mis-say things sometimes. Like when he said thee return of Magneto arc was issues #61-#66, but it was still only through #65. He could have meant 'arcs' but kept saying arc.

Mistakes happen. But I still think he's still doing his year worth of issues. Could mean more than 12. As long as its still within his year, it can mean more than 12.

I seriously hope that there were no mistakes... I'm sure this will be cleared up by this afternoon, though, there's an entire Ultimate panel!

AKA lying or changing his mind. :p

Does anyone else think that we're in for a ton of delays? I mean Singer's story is definitely going to be amazing because he's just that goood but the man is coming out with probably the biggest movie currently in production so how can we say that this run is going to go down smoothly.

Scripts were done a while ago.
