ASM #621
week two of the eight weeks in a row we get ASM every week.

I'm really interested to see what's going to happen with MJ and Harry living together. Although I hope they resolve the Negative-Aunt May thing soon. It's pretty dumb.

So apparently Spidey won't face off against the Kravens in the Gauntlet after all.

That happens in the next arc: "Grim Hunt" written by Joe Kelly, J.M. DeMatteis (the guy that wrote "Kraven's Last Hunt") and Stan Lee (the guy that created Spidey and Kraven)

Hopefully Lee doesn't have too big a role in writing it (It sounds like he'll be only doing two page backups). Much love to the guy, but his style hasn't aged particularly well.

So The Gauntlet is continuing after Grim Hunt then?

No. The Gauntlet leads into Grim Hunt.

It appears the Gauntlet is about the Kravinoffs throwing all of Spider-Man's old enemies against him. Then the Grim Hunt will be them hunting the weakened Spidey, with some of the Gauntlet villains involved in various capacities. And what follows is still up in the air.

So, the last issue was pretty good despite utilizing the new Vulture who's just.... lame.

Oh okay, Cap Canuck's post confused me. Also, I agree about new Vulture, I mean why acid vomit? Then again the old one drained people's life-force, so I guess it's not that weird.

Claremont sure doesn't

Grim Hunt eh?

reminds me of the "Grim Hunter" a.k.a. Vladimir Kravinoff, Kraven's first, and dead son

I wonder if they'll bring Allyosha into this aswell

there's also that Sinister/Kraven hybrid Xraven kicking around

Wacker:
Phil Jimenez did a lot of the early legwork on the [Kravens], laying out the history of the family and tucking in some continuity corners that didn't quite track, so we've been able to use some of what he put together and introduce and reintroduce parts of the family that we haven't seen in awhile," he explains. "It's a pretty big family.
It seems like they're going to use every member of the Kravenoff family that they can.

he's a Red Lantern?

I'm sure at some point they'll make a joke about it.

They already have made green lantern/blackest night jokes a few times in the pages of ASM.

calling Fred VanLente Red VanLantern, etc.

see, this is why you should always read the letter pages.

Actually, that's how I found this site. Someone wrote into USM and plugged DIB's timeline.

It was Ice.

It was all his fault.
