Peter saved Loki's daughter near the beginning of JMS's run. It was a pretty good, non-controversial story, so you wouldn't hear about it when people have Sins Past to argue about.

I Disagree, to an extent, but I don't want to go down that path again.

But it was totally one of the best Spider-Man stories of recent years.
I actually thought it was relatively well-developed (from a six-part arc as opposed to 30-year continuity after Gwen's death) but then fell rather flat.
But it was totally one of the best Spider-Man stories of recent years.

Joe, come back. Sins Past did suck. Everybody else is just crazy.
By the way, that Loki story wasn't even written by JMS. I believe it was Fiona Avery who wrote that as a filler while JMS took a break.

I've actually become fairly optimistic about that. Not only is it stupid, everyone's seen it coming since 2006. I can barely believe that they're actually going to do it, much less go through with it.
