All-Star Superman Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

I thought #8 was pretty ****ty. While the idea was great, and Zibarro was a lot of fun, and the plot was good, I think the Bizarros suck. I despise the way that they talk. That said, I did enjoy Superman doing the Bizarro-speak, but nonetheless, it felt like an effort to enjoy and get through, and I don't have much interest in ever reading it again. :(

You know, I kind of liked it. I thought that the other issues were better, but I almost saw this one as just poking fun at how ridiculous the idea of the Bizzaro planet is.

Really? Because I liked it, lots. It was probably the weakest issue yet, but that still puts it head and shoulders above pretty much everything else. Zibarro was a brilliant idea, and the Bizarro Justice League and Le-Roj were both fun ideas. I think Morrison's conception of Bizarro World is an interesting take on a really boring idea.... Hopefully it will show back up again later in the story.

I liked it, but I also hate the Bizarro speak. It takes too long to figure out what they're saying, especially when writers like Morrison get carried away.

Have you not enjoyed any of the 8 issues so far?

For me, only #6 and #8 didn't work. The rest I enjoyed a lot.

which Pope?

I think we need a thread where we decide which is the best pope. Space Pope, Nazi Pope, or Summer Time Fun Pope.

Y'all ever watch Jim Gaffigan? He's got a bit where he wonders if the Pope played pretend pope in his backyard as a kid. "Here he is! YAAAAAY! Pope Steve! YAAAAAY! BEST. POPE. EVER!!! YAAAAY!".
