- The Lois with super powers issue was an homage to the classic sliver age plot device of "One of superman's friends gets powered". In addition it lead to tipping us off that Superman definatly won't die at the end. How does it do that? The Superman Dead headline had a byline by Clark Kent.
- Okay, if you didn't like the Dino-Czar you really don't have a soul. Its not like they lived in the city, it was an invasion from dino-men that live near the earths core. If Mum-Rah had sent them you'd have eaten it up.
- It was a Sphinx actually and not random at all. Earlier in the issue it had been set up that Samson (Or atlas, its been a bit) had stolen the jewels that he gave Lois from the Sphinx, and paid tribute to the classic Riddle of the Sphinx myth, having Superman solve a Super Version.
- Yeah, Jimmy dressed as a woman was just funny man.
Arguments countered.
Plus, Jimmy in drag is a throwback to the three or four different Golden Age (or maybe Silver Age) plots that involved him dressing up like a woman. Seriously, it was a little disturbing how often that happened. You sort of have to wonder about that boy...
