Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. discussion (spoilers)

I think it's probably a joke.

Well it's an obvious in-joke aimed at the actor who portrays Fitz and his birthday, but I see no reason not to include it as part of the AoS (and MCU) expanded universe.

On that note, I'm actually surprised Marvel hasn't released an AoS spin off comic yet. They've done Prequel and Adaptation comics for the films, after all. I can understand why they haven't yet, as a way of not screwing us continuity with the show. Maybe as a tie-in for the Season 2 premiere.

I don't love the idea, but we'll see - it could be handled really well.

I don't mind it. It'd be cool if they explain
Deathlok's
cybernetic augmentation as being derived from Stark's Iron Man tech.

I'm also excited for
Lorelei's
appearance (along with Sif's). Glad they're finally bringing in more B and C list Marvel characters, that all somehow tie into the existing Avengers members (assuming my theory about Mike Peterson is correct).

Man, I was just telling my friend early today how disappointed I was that Abomination and Leader haven't been picked up on since Fury's Big Week and The Consultant only for me to get a name drop this episode! This was a damn good episode. I really enjoyed the way it kept cutting back to fill in the gaps and even though I knew it was coming I still got chills seeing it zoom in on Mike's leg at the end. Also I have an idea of where they're going with Skye, but it seems so out there that I don't feel like it's worthy of mentioning. On the other side having bad blood between Ward and Coulson was a really good idea and not something I expected (if I read that scene correctly that is) and having May be stuck smack dab in the middle should make things pretty interesting. I will say that the Stan Lee cameo got WAY too much hype. Really looking forward to seeing Bill Paxton kick some ass next episode in, ugh, March.

This episode was clearly for fans!
The Deathlok's leg is a lot like an Iron Man's leg, hmm.. (J.A.R.V.I.S. = Clearvoyant?)

Why ABC has taken the Olympic Games... waiting a month seriously?!..

NBC is the network who always airs the Olympics. The networks rarely air anything during the Olympic weeks because they know they wouldn't get good ratings if they aired anything new.

I'm really hoping Sterns ends up being the Clairvoyant.

Yeah, the episode was REALLY good, the only part that wasn't good was Stan Lee's cameo and that was downright lame. And I usually enjoy his cameos.

Stupid Olympics.

Go team Canada!

Isn't he in SHIELD custody? And yeah, that had to be my least favorite Stan Lee cameo. Such a let down.

According to the Fury's Big Week comic he was, but given his intelligence and clairvoyance, I wouldn't be surprised if he escaped and SHIELD still thinks he's in custody.

That said, I don't necessarily think the Clairvoyant is Sterns/The Leader.

What if it's SHIELD being run by Baron Von Strucker? Sort of how like how it was in Secret Warriors with HYDRA

Until you find out in the last issue that
actually SHIELD was running Hydra and letting it think it was running SHIELD.
Which kind of invalidated the whole point of the comic.

Marvel's Agents of SHIELD finally got these 3 things right

I don't know if this was announced when it was said Sif would appear, but here's why she'll be in the show:

"Lady Sif's upcoming storyline will deal with Lorelei (played by Elena Satine), an Asgardian villainess who has unrequited feelings for Thor."

I never heard of her Lorelei before. Also, Donny Gill, the kid who made that ice machine, is an actual character from Marvel. In the comics his character was the second Blizzard. Very cool.

Thanks man, not like I just started the omnibus last night or anything :( Don't feel too bad though man, it's just Hickman. If it were Nick Spencer I'd be WAY more upset because Spencer knows how to make a plot twist. Hey, DIrishB, Canuck is stealing your shtick!

That was weird... It turned into an investment plug at the end. But I agreed with what it said.

Me neither, but apparently she's the Enchantress' sister.

Yeah, I looked him up after that episode. I like stuff like that!

... Ah crap. Sorry, man!

That was a pretty dumb plot twist any way. It came out of nowhere and changed the whole point of the comic. There are still a lot of cool things that happen in the series.

I AM sorry though.

Yep. We know. ;)

It's only fair, I spoiled some things for him accidentally so it's only right he spoil some things for someone else accidentally. It's all about sharing the pain.

That said, if it's not a relatively new comic, you can't fault people for talking about it.

She's actually in the Thor comics I am currently reading by Walter Simonson.
