Re: X-Men Origins: Wolverine News.

Any word on if Sabretooth will be playing a role in the movie? I ask in response to the news of that kid playing Wolverine as a kid, and wonder how much the Origins comic story is an influence on this movie.
No news yet, but it's definetly possible. They said characters from the previous movies were returning, and if Stryker is one, the other real logical choice would be Sabretooth (besides other reasons- but those are fanboy ones, really).

I'm curious about that , because in X-men Wolverine didn't know who Sabretooth was and Sabretooth didn't seem to know Wolverine so if they add him it would be cool but would kind of mess with first films timeline.

Wolverine didn't know anyone because he was brainwashed, remember? So he could have known Sabretooth before that moment in X-Men, whether or not it was before Weapon X or at there, which is another thing. Remember Sabretooth was also part of Weapon X in the comics, so he could have been here, also brainwashed, but unlike Wolverine, wasn't worried about finding his past and whatnot.

Ahhhh , I thought Wolverine remembered everything from leaving the base but not before. My bad.

Re: X-Men Origins: Wolverine News.

Oh there was a comic with the name origins , cool. I know that makes me noobish but I didn't read much x-men stuff anyway as there was way too many teams and spin-offs that it kinda intimidated me into jumping in that story. So while I dead read some I didn't read alot

When I saw the title change I figured it was a marketing ploy as 1) counts as an X-men film so they can keep rights. 2) It ties in to Hasbro's "Origin" series of toys. The comic thing never actually crossed my mind

They don't have to call it X-Men in the title to "keep rights". They (FOX) own the movie deals of X-Men and the characters thereof.

Re: X-Men Origins: Wolverine News.

From Comingsoon.Net:
The Gorfaine/Schwartz Agency has revealed that Harry Gregson-Williams is set to compose the score for 20th Century Fox's X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

The composer has worked on a great amount of projects (see full list here), but some of his more recent scores are Gone Baby Gone and Shrek the Third.

He also is doing The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, as well as Jerry Bruckheimer's G-Force, which is currently scheduled to hit theaters the same date as "Wolverine" - May 1, 2009.
Some of you will probably recognize Gregson-Williams' work, as he was the composer of Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3.

Sounds good.

I thought when they mentioned the barn it would be about his childhood, but it doesn't sound like that at all when they mentioned the sniper rocket launcher person.

Very interesting.
