Re: X-Men Origins: Wolverine News.

CBR:

Somebody's in a hurry -- we got an email from the studio noting that the release date has been moved up to April 29, 2009.

Re: X-Men Origins: Wolverine News.

I think that has something to do with Star Trek coming out around the time wolverine was meant to. With Star trek been a big release they would logically put wolverine forward or back so it has less competition.

In April at start of the month is Hannah Montana: The Movie Which will make big money, In March is Dragon ball and why would fox want to compete with their own film?

This leaves end of april so it gains a few extra weeks before Star trek comes out.

Of course this theory could be complete ballocks, but that's what I'm thinking.

Re: X-Men Origins: Wolverine News.

MAJOR. SPOILERS.

Don't even continue reading this if you don't want to have the whole movie spoiled for you.

Dude what the eff they have a major, MAJOR spoiler of the movie on Wikipedia....Of course I don't know if it's true, because it's Wikipedia, but....It seems as though the movie is going ahead with
the assumption that Dog from Origin was Sabretooth and is actually Wolverine's half-bro. In the trailers there are actually split seconds of young Wolvie screaming in pain, in a scene that looks reminiscent of the one in Origin where Wolvie first pops his claws. It doesn't actually say on Wiki that Sabes is Dog in the movie, but it DOES say that he's Wolverine's half-brother in the movie. But because of that claw-popping scene, I've just put two-and-two together and assumed that Dog is maybe going to appear in this, and that he's going to be Sabes (since it was already implied in Origin that the groundskeeper of the Howlett Estate, Tom Logan, was Wolverine's real daddy). I dunno....Maybe it would also explain why Wolvie and Sabes both have bad tempers and ginormous muttonchops.

Re: X-Men Origins: Wolverine News.

thats a potential spoiler at the very best

I saw that to but to be fair we can't really tell much since the picture is a bit blurred.

I know!

Before with the movie I was like, "Looks fine. Enjoyable." Now, it's like, "Wow, they're doing a great job with it!"

Even with that I wish they had Hood for X3 instead of Rattner.

Re: X-Men Origins: Wolverine News.

Agreed. I had seen cameo listings and thought " yeah okay, whatever might be fun." Then with that tv spot this is officially my number 2 movie to be exited about this year.

Also funny story, I played that clip then to Lyn who's in the room with me. She was watching it and said "Who's james?" I couldn't stop laughing  I explained it to her but still "Who's james?":lol: I want to know how many none comic fans of the films will watch this and ask that question.

Sadly, no Rose....

I liked the the idea that she was the proto-ginger in James' like and that's why he has such a thing for Jean.

Basicaly giving him a thing for redheads?

more accurately, he's like a knight errant, questing to find his original love. Not really trying to bang every ginger ever born, more like trying to find a "reincarnation" of Rose.

But, that's coming from how a very romantic minded chick interpreted Origins.

Nod a bad interpretation, though.

I do my best.

Oh, and since I haven't expressed it yet. I'm actually really excited about seeing this movie. As little of a Wolverine fan I am, I'm really seeing the potential of fun this movie has.

So yeah, they're definitely going with the Dog-is-Sabretooth assumption then....And also, you can see Groundskeeper Logan in the trailer and he looks just like Wolverine (but more specifically Sabretooth).
