As part of its Wolverine coverage in the magazine's new issue, Empire has debuted this first official photo of Taylor Kitsch ("Friday Night Lights") as Gambit.

Opening May 1st, 2009, the Gavin Hood-directed film stars Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber, Ryan Reynolds, Will.i.am, Danny Huston, Dominic Monaghan, Daniel Henney and Lynn Collins. Leading up to the events of X-Men, Wolverine tells the story of Wolverine's epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program.

I agree, but I kind of like the look. Its incorporating some of the classic colors (in that outfit). I'm sure his full on gear will look a might better.

And that shot/scene will be great for Gambit fans...from the picture it looks like he's flipping those cards with his thumb. I'm looking forward to some cool *** card handling courtesy of Mr. LeBeau.

I'm hoping Deadpool's costume will not be a disappointment.

Maybe he has red eyes but you know when you take a photo and gives you red eyes from flash? Maybe with flash on already red eyes it has the reverse effect

The latest rumor from Comic Book Movie is that Logan's getting a little Irish comopany in a cameo. Their scooper wrote, "I'm an actor in Australia and found out through a friend that Banshee will have a featured cameo in the 'Wolverine' movie. This part will be non-speaking and played by a young actor (25 max)." Fascinating!

Also getting in on the rumormongering, Cinema Blend claims that a second sequel is already in the works with Cyber as the main villain.

Each time I see a Cameo announced I still think :

Ironic isn't it considering people said X-men 1-3 the focus was on wolverine more than the X-men, Then whe he gets his own film others hog his spotlight

Every time a cameo is announced, it's just like Marvel's solicitations going "Featuring the whole Marvel Universe!!!" 'cuz that's what it sure feels like.

Because if they did it would have to be called "Xmen IV but actually I as it is set before the events of x-men I" I think "X-men Origins : wolverine" fits better :lol:

This is ridiculous. It's like Marvel just gave up because DC put out Batman. You could have gotten a good solid 5 films of X-Men movies if they didn't rush all these cameos.
