and it was in the wild west instead of....uh

vietnam?
Yeah. It was in New Mexico with Mystique. But that litte..."room" and the wooden poles are set up the same way, which is very cool. Plus I think like in the comic, Wolverine is tied up to the same pole, heh.

Re: X-Men Origins: Wolverine News.

Last night on some entertainment show (Access Hollywood, or ET or something) they described this movie as the next Dark Knight. I just laughed, then turned the channel after remembering those shows never know what they're talking about, then laughed some more. It was a nice pick me up.

Hehehe.

I guess its only fair, considering those shows think celebrity gossip qualifies as "news".

Re: X-Men Origins: Wolverine News.

Be really funny if Wolverine turns out to be as good or better than the dark knight

Thats not going to happen. We all know that. I hate to judge a book by its cover, but this movie is going to just be a strictly action flick with some pointless and cliched "theme" to it. And there's nothing wrong with that--unless its obvious the filmmakers were going for something more...then its just a pathetic failure in terms of execution and even concept. But, yeah, this movie won't be better than TDK. There's just no way.

I know

I didn't say it would just that would be funny as I guarantee most of the people laughing at it would be like "Yeah I knew this would be great from the start, I was right!!" like what normally happens on the internet.

Again it wont it would just be funny.

I know. I'm too serious for my own good sometime. I'm also not serious enough for my own good.

Hmmmm....

A what kinda man? I'm trying to think of adjuctives with 7 letters.

Hehehe.

They are pretty horrible. In my defense it was only on in the background, and I wasn't really paying attention to it. I think the only thing worse is morning shows, since they seem to think that they should be taken seriously some of the time. But I digress...

The thing you poop out of.

I'm guilty of that too. Hell, most nights after coming home from work and watching the news, I start making dinner and those Extra type shows play in the background. There's also a small part of me that hopes I might see Pat O'Brien go "completely ****ing crazy" and start parading prostitutes around in front of the cameras while snorting lines off their strap-on dildos. But I digress...

CBR:

The rumor from Comic Book Movie is that there's trouble in Westchester. "This is a second-hand but reliably sourced story about the currently-shooting Wolverine movie," a scooper wrote. "There was/is a huge Wolverine set being recently used. I'm not even sure which lot it was built on, but the look or mood of the set is, according to a source who was told Hood's view of things, supposed to be on the dark, dinghy and somber side. I only know what I was told, but the basics are that Hood was away from the set for whatever reason (shooting something else, taking a day or two off), and when he returned to the big somber set he was shocked to find that it had been repainted top to bottom on Rothman's orders. The murky-scuzzy vibe was gone, and a brighter and less downish look had taken its place."

Hollywood Elsewhere is reporting on a specific instance to backup the rumors of Fox's unhappiness with the film. The report claims Fox head Tom Rothman is using his powers to override the word of director Gavin Hood. It seems Fox and Rothman aren't exactly happy with the WOLVERINE movie. While that might initially bum you out, their unhappiness with the film is a good thing. Fox has reportedly been very unhappy with the "dark" tone of the film and is actively working to try and make it more "family friendly."

GOD DAMN ROTHMAN!!!

Re: X-Men Origins: Wolverine News.

How the hell is their unhappiness is a "good thing" for us? Family friendly? WOLVERINE IS NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY!!!

Well because if they are unhappy about what gets out out, we will probably enjoy it.

Think of it this way. Batman and Robin is 'family friendly'. They would be happy with that. The Dark Knight is 'too dark'. That would make them sad in pants.

So if we get to see a version that Roth-****ing-man is unhappy with, chances are the film will be at least decent.

Maybe, but if the powers-at-be are unhappy with it, chances are they could change it somehow, meaning not good with us since it says they want it family friendly.

Why don't they just go ahead and make the movie in this style

Re: X-Men Origins: Wolverine News.

CBR:

While the men of the movie worked out, Silver Fox had a different regimen, or so actress Lynn Collins told MTV "They were all on super-buff diets, and I had pizza most of the time," said Collins. "They were so jealous of me. I didn't have to beef up in this movie. I just had to wear skimpy clothes."

That's strange. You'd think after the success of The Dark Knight they would be happy with a darker movie. I mean it seems that a lot of movie series are going in that direction nowadays, even a character like Superman, which doesn't even go well with an overly dark theme.

Re: X-Men Origins: Wolverine News.

I don't get it. Wolverine isn't exactly a family friendly character so why make him something he isn't? It sucks if this happens because the trailer was dope.
