Re: X-Men Origins: Wolverine News.

I told Gemini on MSN that even though we don't see Gambit's red eyes here, it is still possible for them to add it during post-production. This is just a trailer we're seeing and even with trailers it's not always final edits. We'll have to wait until the release to see if they add them or not, though I'm thinking we might not see them.
Yeah I remember that all the various trailer releases for Fantastic Four had different sets of special effects.

Re: X-Men Origins: Wolverine News.

Sadly, the new trailer looks like nothing more than a really exciting high budget TV show.

The Dragon Ball trailer looks better.

Re: X-Men Origins: Wolverine News.

I'm not sure what anyone's expecting with Wolverine. I mean, he's never been a character full of depth...

I'll watch this. At least it looks like it will have exciting wolverine action, which is all the character's really good for on his own. If that's too harsh a statement, please, point me in the direction of good stories that prove differently.

Is this in response to my "now you're just being meen" post? cause if it was, the meannes came from saying that DBE looks better than this, DBE looks like Shaolin Soccer without anything amusing happening, this looks like a framing sequence for X3.

Re: X-Men Origins: Wolverine News.

now you're just being mean
No I'm not.

I think you people know me too well to know that I rarely slam something at the expense of another thing without some high falutin s00per intellectual reason. That said, I'm talking about the trailers, not the movies.

The trailer to Wolverine just looked so damn boring, but I don't think that means that it's a bad movie compared to DBE. (Hugh Jackman has so far, not taken many roles devoid of substance in stories with no point.)

Regardless, I only mention the DBE trailer because I downloaded it the same hour I downloaded the Wolvie trailer. Either way, I don't really have any pre-release feelings towards either film.

Greg Rucka did great with his Wolverine issues (#1-19).

I agree.

Also, the notion that Wolverine is lacking in depth is utterly ridiculous. It's a supposition consistently maintained by people who choose to dismiss him due to his popularity, as well as his detachment from most other moral and ethical traditions of superheroism.

Okay, forgive me, I'm squealing.

That's over now... okay, my only complaint, she looks like she's covered in individual diamonds, instead of being a single diamond.

Really? I read one arc where he was being hunted by some wild kid and I found it dreadfully boring.

It was very boring.. His whole run.

Origin, Enemy Of The State, Agent Of Shield, Old Man Logan, Manifest Destiny, the original Weapon X series. Some random one-shots I have read.

Yeah, though it still looks cool.
How old is Emma in the movie? Assuming it's been mentioned.

Early twenties is what it sounds like. Rumor places her at Dept H during Wolverine's escape (-10 years X-Men 1).

I think that's actually better visually. Because otherwise it would look pretty unoriginal to most cgi effects already done. This adds a very unique look to the idea. I approve

Visually, it's more exciting than a person made of smooth diamond (think an offspring of Sue Richards and Silver Surfer), but what we got looks a little tacky. Kinda like the bling gifs on MySpace.

Re: X-Men Origins: Wolverine News.

I know Reynolds is stunning and everything but put a mask on that guy already!

i dunno, the full facial mask thing doesn't translate to the bigscreen really well...you can't see emotion. That's why Spidey was getting his mask torn off every other scene in the Spider-Man movies.

My guess: Deadpool's face will get scarred at the end of the movie (like in the last fight scene) and at the end it will show him putting on a mask.
