Well, their FF had a huge lead time. Weren't they finished with, like, 8 issues before the first one even came out?

It was about the same time as Ultimates 3 if I remember correctly.

Guys, give Joe Mad some credit. It takes a long time to draw all those bullets that Clint "MY FAMILY IS DEAD! DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME! THEY DIED!" Barton shoots per page.

Well, in Cup O' Joe before the series was released, Quesada said MAD was "almost done" with issue 2. Simple mathematics figured out how long it had been since the series was announced.

Anyone else think it's funny how the hitlar Fantastic Four is shipping pretty regularly. Like maybe it is just whoever is doing ultimates gets delayed, doesn't matter if they write on time in other books, just ultimates is always delayed.

I think, that this is a possible situation: Mad signs a contract to ULTIMATES 3. He beings work on it and the schedule is decided upon and what not, but it doesn't take into account that Mad has other contracts to do. I can believe that he continually put U3 on the back burner for higher paying gigs in the video game world (much like Lindleloff did for Hulk vs Wolverine) BUT - the schedule never got amended to reflect this.

Or maybe not. I don't know. I don't get how you can wait this long to do a comic, and not have it ship. Either they stuck to a launch date they knew Mad couldn't keep up with, or Mad dropped the ball, or both.

I copy and paste a public message from Adam Hughes from his own frickin' Yahoo group to this site, and I'm berated for name-dropping forever. Ice brings up his inside source and you all give a odd hush. I oughtta club all y'all and eat your bones.

You think MAD got annoyed because he realised that there's no good story here. now he's either gonna give up or stick it out for a story he doesn't really believe in anymore.

I'd have completely lost faith after reading the first few pages of the first script, personally.

He should have stepped out then, and helped prevent this abomination from ever getting off the ground in the first place.

Hah! Lets be generous and average it out to a year per issue. 2005 = #1, 2006 = #2, 2007 = #3, 2008 = #4, 2009 = #5.

I'm willing to bet this is how it works out. I won't be surprised to see #4 delayed further, into late 2008 (September/October/November), and #5 in early 2009.

I wasn't told this recently. I was told the info before it was made public. I've known about this for a good few years.
