The Social Thread: Houde Ain't Gettin' Some Tonight

So I took Neil to his first con, the Rhode Island State Convention. He loved all the costumes, people, and all the things that were going on. He lasted for about three hours before he decided enough was enough and had a fit.

He also met Jason David Frank, aka the original Green Ranger. The dude is jacked now.

I NEED TEETHING ADVICE!

I think four of his teeth are all coming in at once.

I think those teething rings that you put in the refrigerator work best.

Just remember to take them out of the refrigerator and give them to him. DO NOT put the baby in the refrigerator with the teething ring.

Damn, the refrigerator is soundproof too.

So in a nearby town, an elementary school was shot up with the count currently up to 18 kids shot and 8 adults, with most of the kids being kindergartners.

I can't ever begin to imagine what the parents are gong through... :(

I can't begin to imagine what puts the idea to do something like this in someone's head...

The last count went to 20 children and 6 adults that died. Some others in hospitals, which went into lockdown.

I'm headed to the Dominican Republic tomorrow on a missionary trip. We're going to be working with a local church down there to serve the people who work on the sugarcane plantations there. There's a lot of need down there at the moment as several hurricanes have wiped out a lot of the sugar crop so many of the workers, who are poor anyway, have no income at all now.

See you guys in a couple of weeks!
