That Thread About Work: "Custom kitchen deliveries...!"

So I tested for the Post Office back in February/March, and I finally heard back from them yesterday. I have an interview on July 2nd.

I just started my new job and I like it alot, but the Post Office pays almost twice as much and you can't beat that job security.

I am conflicted.

Post Office puts you through a grueling six month training program, and the usually fire you, and ring you back on for another six months, and so on.

They did that to my friend, he went through it three times, worked 7 days a week, and still didn't get any positions that opened up.

Yes, I am indeed conflicted. I like my current job and I finally have upward momentum in my career, but this one pays so much more right out of the gate, and if I did get in permanent I'd have a job for life.

I don't think they are gonna work out Mr Burke, who teaches them ICT is actually Hellsbuttmonkey, scourge of Teh Intarwebs...
Oh my god, Mr. Burke!?!?

I wish one of my teachers really did post here. I could totally blackmail them.

E will be horrified to learn that I just filled out an application for Best Buy.

And I really hope I get the job.

Today I was involved with a cell extraction. I got to video tape it since I can't suit up yet. It was pretty exciting to say the least.

When I worked at the mall everyone wanted me to be a prison guard, except the cops, who wanted me to be a cop, but I don't think either is for me. I hate guns.

I'm only gonna be trained in a gloc (certified) but so far everything has literally been hands on. they show you take down maneuvers and whatnot. carrying guns in the facility is too much of a risk when you're walking around murderers. There's actually a special team that has guns but they're loaded with pepperballs and other crowd control ammo. At least that's how it is here. I'm sure every correctional facility and prison is different.
