Okay, I've been trying to include more Filipinas here but it's really hard to find pictures of a decent resolution or anything interesting to write about. So I've decided to focus more on the 'information' aspect, since E seems to think that is the most useful aspect of the thread. Also, this will be the first Chinese I'll feature, so yay for variety.
So I bring to you:
Faye Wong (b. 1969) - is probably the most internationally recognized of the PG-Friendly Asian Girls I'll ever feature. Most Asian cinema enthusiasts will recognize her as the peppy short-order cook who becomes a self-designated apartment redecorator in Wong Kar-Wai's Chungking Express (a role that earned her "Best Actress" at the 1994 Stockholm International Film Festival), a Yakuza boss' girlfriend named Jenny in Okinawa Rendesvous and an android in 2046.
In addition to being a model and actress, Wong derives most of her popularity and success from her singing career. It is not uncommon for an artist of excessive popularity to earn an honorific/title of reverence, and Wong is no exception --- in Hong Kong, Taiwan and mainland China, her name is usually preceded by the title 'tiānhou' (literally "Heavenly Queen"), and this is a direct result of being one of the most commercially and artistically successful female vocalists in the recent history of Chinese pop music.
As a model Wong, is interestingly enough (according to Wikipedia) regarded as a fashion icon to the gay community. Fans of Final Fantasy might already be aware that she performed the song "Eyes on Me" for Final Fantasy VIII. She also recorded the ending theme to Zhang Yimou's internationally acclaimed Hero.
