Darker than Black 2 is pretty badass so far, though

! To Aru Kagaku no Railgun's first episode was pretty good, but the second one didn't really have much action in it. Hopefully it'll pick up.

Also, I'm sad that Basquash! ended, it was a fun show.

It's pretty much what I expected, that is to say it's about on par with One Piece. I wish Bones was doing the animation so we could get something closer to Soul Eater (in terms of production values).

I thought the animation was pretty solid, but I agree that it falls short of Soul Eater's slick action scenes. I was surprised that they were able to easily fit the entire introductory story into one episode. I dig the fight music and the voice acting was pretty good. I half expected Natsu to be voiced by a chick with a raspy voice (Luffy, I'm lookin' at you) and was pleasantly surprised, but Happy's high pitched squeal may become annoying shortly.

All in all I thought it was pretty good.

I forgot about the music, but yeah, I like Celtic vibe it had going. The voice acting was also pretty solid.
 
Is it me or did the animation in the second ep of fairytail take a huge step backwards? The bar brawl in the guild was terrible.

Also, the storyteller bit in the OP reminds me to much of the storyteller bit at the beginning of One Piece. Its weird that they chose to model it after one piece when the series already gets compared to that all the time.

I have to admit that I can't even watch the original anime when it comes on Adult Swim now. The manga storyline they're following in Brotherhood is just so much better. And they haven't even gotten to the best stuff yet.

Havent read the manga so its all new for me! Im loving every second!

In other news the astro boy movie is failing horribly.

I wouldnt have known much about astroboy if it wasnt for the recommendation you guys gave Pluto, so I thought I'd mention it.

I just watched Sword of the Stranger, it was pretty good, somewhat similar to Ninja Scroll.

The end of the most recent episode of Darker Then Black (season 2) dropped a bombshell I never saw coming.
 
Is anyone else still watching the new Full Metal Alchemist series? Because i'm loving every second of it.

The ep where Ed breaks through the door, points at Al's body and goes 'stay right there, Im coming for you' was pretty epic.
 
Yeah, it's pretty awesome. I'm glad it's on though, since most of the other anime for the winter season is pretty meh.

On another note, has anyone else seen Baccano!? I love it, especially the Rail Tracer, Ladd Russo, and Isaac and Miria. The dub can be seen (legally) HERE.
